Glad I asked for updates otherwise I would not have purchased.
**Update Sept 2017**Well, a year on I just wanted to add a final note on this. I am retiring the dock this weekend, it has served me really well and there have been no issues with it at all. I am upgrading to a new 2017 MacBook which will require the new version of the dock when it is released soon and I will be purchasing it.Highly recommend this for your MacBook. This is a first day review of the Henge dock for the Macbook Pro 13.3" retina, 2015 model. There have been quite a few negative reviews of the dock so I was reluctant to purchase however quite a few people responded to my question about it saying they had no issues with the laptop docking or a moving power socket. So I bought it and it's now all installed.I am in that difficult position of needing to have a Windows PC but prefer my Macbook Pro for most things. What I really wanted was to work away on my PC as required but when the need arised to switch to the Mac it needed to be as seamless as possible and use the same two screens as I use for my PC.This dock appeared to fit the bill and it really does. At this point my Macbook is docked and both it and PC and running. I can switch quickly from one to the other or have Windows on one screen and OSX on the other, virtually perfect. I will use a portable USB to move files between the two as needed until I find a solid way to sync the two.Ideally I need to grad the Macbook knowing it's got everything I need even if I had created or updated the files on the PC.Set up was very easy however I can see why some would have issues with a moving power connector. If you do not use the right adaptor in the first place then it will be an issue. There are two in the box depending on which power lead you have. The other issue is getting it at the right height, although use a bit of light, make it flush and tighten, works fine. I suspect over time if you are constantly removing and installing the power lead to take with you it will eventually break down and move. If you need to regularly take the power lead with you then buy another. More cost of course but far more convenient. When docking it needs a slight tilt, just dropping it down square will not instantly catch. Not an issue just need to be a bit careful not to force it down, rather tilt and listen for the connection then push right down. There is no also no way to power the laptop up from the dock, you need to un-dock, start it and then dock again. For me no issue, once it's on it stays on for the day. You can of course shutdown without un-docking.Overall I am very glad I asked here for views otherwise I would not have purchased, will update again in a couple of months or if anything changes. As you can see from my pictures it takes up very little space which is really ideal.

Don't bother!
I really wanted to like this docking station as on paper it seemed to be everything I was looking for. It's solid, good quality, and looks-wise it compliments the Macbook nicely.But... after a little setting up, the various cables are positioned correctly but after you have put your macbook in and out a couple of times it no longer seems to line up with the power connector! The whole point of a docking station is that you can slap the laptop into place and off you go! But not with this one! Returned to Amazon and the hunt for an acceptable, if not decent docking station for my mac goes on.In summary:Looks - fantastic!Practicallity - useless! Unless you want to readjust the power connector every couple of uses.

Can you spell faraday's cage?
I have the habit of reading all worse reviews before buying something online and have to say it is not that hard to setup the mag-safe connector as people make believe, just dock the computer connect the adaptor until it clicks and screw it in place, I understand some people have thicker fingers than others but it is far from the monstrous task some report.Great looking, it was precisely what I needed, docks everything pretty good and even my 4K monitor has no issues being fed via an adaptor. That being said, where's my wireless? I can see my wireless network, it shows as full strength but my MacBook is absolutely unable to connect to it.This is not circumstantial, it is a serious design flaw.Edit: Reduced to 2 stars: apparently it is so thick that bluetooth gets disturbed if wifi is on, when I turn wifi-off I can use the magic mouse almost seamlessly, if wi-fi is on the mouse is extremely jerky and jumps around like crazy. Of course both bluetooth and wifi work perfectly together when the mac-book is not docked.

Good. Just not quite perfect.
There's nothing to match the henge dock. It's a well made product, albeit a pricey one.But frankly it's not as good stye macbook air henge (hence 4 stars) because of the relatively messy cable solution. At least if there was a slide cover on the bottom to hide and hold in the cables, they'd be on to a winner. With the macbook air dock nothing is left sticking out of the dock, unlike this one.But it works, is well made, and fits the macbook pro retina well. You may need to buy a second power adapter as you basically need your existing one to remain permanently secured inside this one.

Attractice, well built, but hard to live with
Attractive, well build of quality materials that snugly fit the MacBook. The praise end there however, as I found that over 10-12 docking that the power connector would shift slightly and no longer make contact with the MacBook, preventing both charging and allowing for the MacBook to enter the docked mode. Correct insertion requires the MacBook to be insert 'square on' and can required a little tilting to get in correctly (especially up on a tall desk). I would also comment that undocking the MacBook required a surprising amount of force.Unable to live with the dock long term I have returned it.

Stylish and incredibly practical
This dock is pretty much exact colour match for my Macbook and looks great, definitely worth the extra money against the plastic version. After setting up, I now have a no fuss solution to docking my Macbook to my USB hub, charger, monitor and speaker system. In one step my Macbook becomes a fully functioning desktop! I would recommend getting an additional Apple charge to go with this, as the docking only works when the charger is tightened into the docking port. Although the charger is completely removable later, I would imagine it would quickly become a tedious task with having to unscrew and remove it every time.
