This rule is quite good, especially at this price... Just wish I could have got the one like my father used many years ago which was wooden rather than this nylon (plastic)... It seems to be sturdy enough and the hinges are good quality.. The only downside is for those old uns like myself it has one side metric...Unless specifically needing to use metric measurements I always use the old money, feet and inches. And like the old rules of years ago it fits nicely into an overall pocket. Best I could find on the Amazon website.

Good marking and sturdy rule

It's about as sturdy as a hinged, plastic ruler can be, I don't see it breaking so long as use it appropriately. I will try to avoid using the two outer hinges as the central circular one seems stronger. Arrived as expected, no complaints.

Bought this Rule as a replacement, Disappointed in quality. The joints are too stiff and just not very user friendly.Won't be getting another one.

I am using this in my dressmaking sewing box to measure from the selvedge - much easier than using a tape measure. I am very pleased with it.
