Spear & Jackson 4145NB Elements Carbon Soil Rake

I was looking for an okay quality soil (or garden) rake for a cheap(ish) price, and having found this on Amazon, (and not being familiar with Spear & Jackson), I bought it mostly on the price. It arrived very promptly and really surprised me!The build quality is really excellent, with a rubberised handle and very well finished wood, (unlike most rakes in this price quality), and a strong steel rake head that didn't bend or deform under pressure. This seems like a rake that should have cost far more given the product I received and in comparison to similarly priced products I've seen. This is probably the best rake I've ever used, so much so that I've decided to write about it for my very first Amazon review!Really good stuff! Recommended for anyone's garden!

I have a real problem with moles and a lot of molehills have been flattened into a solid impenetrable patch of earth. The rake easily bites into these and enables me to loosen the earth up so the lawn can start to regenerate. Easy to use, not very heavy and sharp.

Head shank a little thin but rest of rake head and handle, which is nice and long is quality.

I don't normally write reviews...... blah blah.... but after having bought other garden tools with better reviews and costing more but not lasting the distance. I 've got to say this is an absolute beast of a rake, it's taken everything I've thrown at it and some. It's been used for pulling weeds and roots out, picking up piles of waste, whatever you throw at it, it wants more. Nothing has bent, snapped or been pushed out of shape.If you want something that gently collects leaves, this isn't the rake for youIf you want a workhorse that laughs in the face of hard work this is all you 'll need!

A bit more expensive... but... has all the quality and I can see this rake lasting for years. This has been a good buy for me and I would recommend this product.

I was a little wary after reading some of the reviews, however I am relieved to say that the rake is brilliant! Sturdy and effective.

Nostalgic for the days of the 1950s? Then this is the perfect garden rake for you. Solid, trusty, lacquered wood with leather-looking, yet modern, brown foam covered handle for our modern, delicate hands. 10 year guarantee and relatively modern anodised head. I gave it a relatively tough workout this morning going through soil contaminated with brick pieces, tiles and junk and it pulled them out easily. Not for fine work or lawns, but a good quality rake- especially at the price.

This is a product that is difficult to rate really. You use this type of product over a period of time &, only when it's been put to the test over a period, are you able to really give an opinion. It looked somewhat lighter weight than I would have expected but, since we have always rated Spear & Jackson products, trust it will be long lasting as most of their products area. Price & delivery were good.

Ero molto dubbio dalle recensioni lette. Prodotto arrivato puntualissimo, il manico è addirittura con una parte di antiscivolo; materiali di buona qualita' e ottima robustezza per il prezzo pagato s'intende. Dovro' usarlo in modo intenso nel mio grande giardino. Consigliatissimo!!

con lo sconto che ho trovato per questo prodotto non posso chiedere di più. L'ho trovo molto bello e pratico.
