Poor value, unsatisfactory Instructions, could be so much better. Go elsewhere.
This is just such a rip-off and much better value "kits" exist. Using this "kit" the final cost is about £3.65/litre and so it costs more to make than buy commercial "Crabbies" (£3.30/litre or less); even though the product description for this kit claims "Forget paying over the odds for Crabbies ..." A bit naughty to say the least, let's not quite call it misrepresentation. The kit is also cheaper when bought direct via their own web-site.My main issue with the "kit" (apart from the tiny amounts of ingredients) is the poor quality of the instructions. Double sided printed on a single DL sheet (1/3 A4) these minimal instructions lack any attention to detail, and in part, are poorly worded. For something that represents a "kit" then it would be nice to have some history of what you are making, some pictures of the process, some indicators showing what to look out (and what might go wrong) and so on. For example, the instructions omit any mention of suitable temperature until it is bottled, they do not list a funnel in the equipment required (although it is referenced in the text) and mix inches and metric measurements.It's just not really good enough, created by amateurs at best. Sorry to be harsh, but it was really disappointing.

Some of the family love ginger beer nice to make it fresh for them. I would have given this five stars except that I had an issue the first batch which didn't appear at all fizzy when bottled after distilling from the stage two of a larger vessel fermanation and when I emailed them for help as nothing was on their website to explain why this happened they ignored my email over a week no response not great for any company let alone a small one, why have a help form if you ignore them? However the fizz was actually there and it is now so powerful that I have to be careful when letting the pressure out. Also although they say you can reuse the mother they don't quote a quantity of ginger to use so guess it will be trial and error. Husband was very happy with the resulting ginger beer which was the main point of buyingupdated review after the above review the company contacted me to say they had replied but it had a spelling error hotnail and they hadn't noticed it bounced. They will update their website so al complaints now resolved and happy to give five stars

Great fun project
As other reviewers have noted the ingredients can be found separately cheaper but as a newbie to ginger beer making it was really convenient to have everything together in one box, and the instructions provided were helpful. I have had fun trying out the process and my ginger beer is currently in bottles on its second ferment and should be ready for drinking shortly. Highly recommended!

This is not a Ginger Beer Plant it is just yeast you can buy for 99p here on Amazon and get the ginger for about 99p too.
