Starrett A1 Hole Saws Arbor - 14-30mm Screw Thread Hex Shank Arbor With 6.35mm High Speed Pilot Drill Bit - Quick Change Mandrel

I have used sterrett hole saws for many years and fine them to be excellent. I purcahased this small arbour for a recent project that required many small holes to be drilled in mild steel. It performed excellently, the drill bit is sharp and held its cutting edge throughout the project, i didnt have any issues. Great value for money.

Very pleased with my purchase and delivery, not much to say, dose exactly as expected, Good price as well.

The seller was quick to accept a refund, even though it's my fault('ish) that the hex arbor was too big. The photo shows proportions that make it look as though the arbor would fit a snap-in ¼" screwdriver chuck, but AS THE LISTING WRITES, it's actually a pointlessly fat 8mm hex shaft. Pointless, because no small holesaw will ever need exert enough torque that a shank larger than ¼" will be needed. I cannot see why Starrett would waste unnecessary metal on a small arbor. Anyway, rant over, the seller was unable to provide a 1/4" alternative, but thankfully did permit a refund. Thank you.

good arbor, pilot bit drills quick and cleanly. i like these arbors as the cutter just screws on/off which makes clearing debris from the cutter quicker usually use the arbor alone for putting fixing holes in trunking, basket, galv boxes, etc

The Arbor black part of the bit is solid, but was shocked that the tip of the drill bit broke upon the first use of it with a 30mm Hole saw, only drilling through Acrylic to make my own Arcade Joystick Enclosure for the buttons. The Starrett 30mm and 24mm Hole Saw bits that I use are really good - so I just must have had a bad luck with this Arbor Bit...
