Can these be used with an iphone

Not directly - these speakers require being wired to an amplifier with speaker wire/cable. If you can connect your IPhone through the amplifier then that would work - but NOT directly. Hope that helps.

what is the power handling capacity

I've got it running off a 100w seven channel amp for a couple of years now. I've had the amp 3/4 up and no problems.

I do not think they take banana plugs. Having bought some from reading other answers I now see now ay to fit them. Anyone any ideas.?KG

You need a small screw to remove the black plastic insert inside the connector. Look it up on YouTube did mine about 3 weeks ago worked perfectly ☺
