Beautiful colors and content. Pretty difficult but fun!

Christmas PuzzleEvery year my wife and I make a Christmas puzzle the week before Christmas. It’s a tradition for us. This year we were very disappointed in the puzzle we made. I bought it last year before Christmas and put it aside for this year. When we opened the box, it looked nice with clean pieces and no dust in the plastic bag. It wasn’t until we started sorting the pieces that my wife noticed a lot of the edge pieces were missing.It turned out a large part of the puzzle, maybe a hundred pieces, was missing! When we started putting it together, we discovered the pieces fit very badly and it was hard to tell if they actually fit together.Overall, this was the worst puzzle I have ever bought!

This puzzle is of Santa Claus in his workshop. There are elves working on all different kinds of toys, getting ready for the big night. Santa is leaning over looking at his list of naughty or nice children (with his readers on!). What I love about this scene is the warmth of the picture and how it has an almost old-timey feel. The details are also incredible, right down to the grumpy teddy bear behind Santa and the elf struggling to pull up the wooden toy soldiers in a basket!On the back of each piece of the puzzle is a letter of the alphabet. This is to group sections of the puzzle, if you want. This would be helpful for kids, senior members of the family, or maybe just confirming you’ve found the right piece. The colors are warm, yet vibrant. The puzzle pieces are of great quality. I especially love the poster of the puzzle to lay out and refer to. That is an added touch that will be really nice.I am looking forward to putting this together during this holiday season. It is nostalgic and reminds me of my childhood!

I love jigsaw puzzle and have worked 1000’s but this one is so difficult because the pieces are not very different shapes and it is easy to mistakenly place pieces leaving a mess.

I do several puzzles a year and value quality pieces (my absolute favorite puzzles are made with corkboard).I tested the pieces ability to interlock and not separate easily and they stood the test. That's is probably my most important requirement and it met the threshold - esp for the price point. The puzzle comes with an oversized poster to use as a guide. As an individual who may be a little more seasoned (a.k.a. older eyes), I appreciate that. I can fold the poster into quadrants based on what I am working on.The puzzle does say ages 3+ but that's a pretty big stretch. The pieces are smaller and I know of no 3 year old (or for that matter 3-8 probably) that could do this puzzle or realistically help out. So the marketing is a bit flawed.For the puzzle itself, I think it's great.
