Cygnet Chunky Red Yarn - 100g

My bestest friend asked me to crochet a hat for her, but she wanted a 1920's flapper style hat. I'm moving out of the absolute-raw-beginner stage of crochet having been a knitter for many, many years. Anyhow, I trawled the internet to find a pattern and the all-important tutorial, ordered this chunky yarn in bright red and away I went.This yarn is a lovely warm red, is soft to the touch and really easy to work with. I used a 5.5mm hook and had no issues with the yarn splitting, which often happens with cheaper yarns. It has worked up to the correct tension and resulted in, if I may say so myself, a really lovely cloche hat.I had ordered 3 balls because I don't often work with chunky yarns and wasn't sure how much I would need. It took almost one ball, so now I'll be making my friend a pair of mittens and a neck warmer with the other two balls.

Received my red wool today and started knitting straight away with it. I love the colour. Has such a festive feel to it. Amazing quality. Would certainly order more from this seller

Probably the best of the acrylics in terms of look and feel. OK; it's not real wool but for an affordable substitute, it's first class.

The yarn was just what I wanted and has knitted up quite nice. I will consider buying more yarn from the same outlet as they delivered to me very quickly and it was excellent value for money. Could I possibly send a photo of the garment when finished as I am sure they would like to see how it knits up.

I have had this make of wool before and it knits up great. Well worth paying a little extra for the quality
