Good water pressure guage
Bought to check water pressure before getting water softener. Works fine and easy to attach to garden tap and clearly read the vale in BAR and PSI.

Would have 5 star if not for an IMPORTANT piece of information missing for the instructions
I was using my pressure washer and thought that it wasn’t performing very well and was wondering if it was the machine or the water mains pressure. I thought I better check the water pressure first before buying a new pressure washer.I chose this model mainly because I was getting a brand I recognised (Silverline) at an excellent price and seems to be built very well using quality materials. The plastic pressure gauge measures between 0 and 11 bar (0-160psi) and is connected to a quality and very flexible 300mm braided stainless steel hose. It has a standard 9mm diameter bore connection with a quality seal and also includes a 3/4” adapter allowing it to connect to 95% of domestic screw on taps.Connection is easy enough, it just screws on to the tap making sure it is screwed on tight to create a leak proof seam. Now this is very IMPORTANT when using the gauge make sure that you keep the hose straight as the moment it starts to bend the water pressure increases and the more it bends the greater the pressure. This is vitally important and should have been mentioned in the instructions but is not.The item would have received a 5-star rating if it was not for instructions not stating the problem I mentioned. All in all, it is a quality pressure gauge and is excellent value for money.

Measures the pressure
easy to fit for temp measurement, or even left in for longer term. Multi-fitting very useful. Robust and agreed with pressure readings from other devices.

Good for measuring shower pressure
I wanted to check the water pressure of my shower before replacing it with a new one that requires a minimum of 1.5 bar. I thought I would need to buy a 1/2 inch adapter because the description says this has a 3/4 connector, but I was very pleased to discover that they've included an adapter in the package (see photo). Measuring the shower pressure was very easy: I unscrewed the head, screwed the gauge on, and turned on the shower. 2 bar pressure, so that's a green light for the new shower!

Leaky threaded connection, but fine for quick testing
We had issues with our water pressure in the past, particularly on the hot side. After recently having a leaky kitchen tap, I wanted to check whether the hot water pressure was the culprit this time and this quickly confirmed the pressure was fine, i.e. needle pointed right on the 3 bar mark as what our hot water pressure regulator is rated to deliver. The instructions warn that this is for testing mains cold water supplies only. I suspect this is more a precaution in case someone gets scaled with hot water or tries attaching this to an electric shower, which would be dangerous. The easiest way I found to test it indoors is with the bath shower hose connection or with a non-electric shower, where the heating system is off and the hot tap was not run for an hour. Detach the hose and attach this pressure meter directly with the inner 1/2" thread, then slowly turn on the tap.One issue I ran into is with its threaded connections. When I first tried this with our front outdoor tap, I got sprayed in water despite firmly screwing it to the tap thread. With our mains outdoor tap at the rear of the house, it leaked just a little and gave an 8-bar reading. With our indoor hot tap it also leaked at the thread, but still gave a 3-bar reading as what our hot water pressure is regulated at.

Looks the business
I purchased this to check our water pressure because we were having a problem with our electric shower showing low pressure but a neighbour had the water company round to do some work and miraculously the water pressure came back so I did not need to use it . Looks good in the garage with all the other stuff

I'm not sure readings are correct
The gauge sort of works but I'm not sure readings are accurate. Firs of all the one I've got had a torn gasket, so the water was syphoning during measuring. Secondly, I turned the mains ball valve half turned down and it didn't affect readings much, so I assume it show very very coarse measurements. Though it is cheap, so must cut some slack for that.
