The best of the best for shredders and heartbreakers
I’ve been using Ernie balls for years. Can’t get a better string and I love the sound when they are fresh. The first week using these on a strat always feels awesome!I use them on everything 10s on my les Paul9s on some strats. And even 8s and 7sGot some 13s on an archtop epiphone. They always sound great. Crisp and clear. Can’t fault Ernie balls at all. I’ve never broken one. People say they do and I’m like whaaaaaa? I play loads of bends in my style of playing and they never break. And when they do it’s alway at the bridge or the nut which means it’s your guitar…I recommend 9s to anyone playing a strat. They are just right for all types of strat style music… funk to hard rock.If you’ve got a les Paul however I recommend 10s to keep the tension up. But if you’re feel adventurous like young billy gibbons get yourself some 7s they are super wild. Especially for gentlemen and ladies who like to bend supremely.Ernie ball pretty much invented wound guitar strings. The other brands are similar. And some people talk about output changes from difrent alloys in the string but slinky’s have always been excellent. If they don’t have enough output for yiu???? Get a new setup or try the Colbalts.Best value and best guitar string there is. With every gauge option under the sun.ROCK ONNNN YEAAAAAAHHH!!!!

Great feel and sound – big upgrade from old strings
Put these on my second-hand SG and the difference was night and day. The old ones were dull and rough — these felt smoother straight away and brought the guitar back to life. Brighter sound, better feel, and more comfortable to play. They’re the usual bright silver nickel colour, look clean on the guitar, and have a nice even finish. The 10–46 gauge is just right for standard tuning — not too stiff, not too light — and they’ve held tuning well after a bit of stretching.Easy upgrade. I’ll buy them again.

Nice soft strings
Have used the brand before so knew what i was getting. The thickness of the strings are good so that you don't need to apply lots of pressure to get the correct note. They have a soft feel to them and they allow your fingers to slide easily. They last as long as other strings although differing playing styles might have different results.

Great value for a market leader
I have Ernie Ball 10-54s on my Epi 60s Standard Les Paul. I generally prefer light to medium strings (I have a Strat with 9-42s and a Casino with 11-49s), but the thicker gauge in the low end give the Les Paul a huge, warm, dark tone when played clean, while the lighter strings in the top end allow for bends. Once you get the hang of the transition between the D and the G, it feels very natural. If I only played fast rock stuff on this guitar I might use lighter strings overall, but I don’t. And I also play bass, so thick strings don’t bother me.Great strings: great tone, durable and not expensive.

Check the vid! Love ernie ball and their 9s are sick
The media could not be loaded. Awesome strings.Always used ernie balls. From their 9s, 10s, 11s to now their paradigms.I got a fresh set on before this show in the clip, check it out, sounds decent!FYI that guitar is a budget hartwood semi acoustic hallow body whammy and it's awesome. Check it out.I get some decent use of these and I'm a heavy player too typically and they're hard to break, I can't remember the one I broke actually before restringing is due!Nice warmth, color, tone, durable, resistant, just overall great brand and great strings. And reasonably priced too.

LIGHTER APPROACH easy once your used to them
Used these before easy on your fingers if some professional players use them so will I.May sound a bit thinner in tone but you can compensate with your amp controls I feel more relaxed when I use these their great.
