Bought this for my 9 year old. She absolutely loves it. It is kind of difficult at first, but once you get the hang of making them, it really does become easy!

We ordered this for my 10 year old daughter for Christmas and it is so neat! We decided to go with the Amazon Exclusive box versus the original. We liked that it came with fillers, but you can also use fillers from around your home! Would definitely order again! Hours of fun!

My 8 year old was so excited to receive this as a gift for the holidays from “Santa”. We were “pumped” to make all the squishies our hearts would desire. Then reality set in…It has been disappointing for numerous reasons. First, it ‘works’ but needs cleaned/reset often. It pulls vacuum to inflate the balloons/bulbs. The system frequently malfunctions, needing to be cleared out. The balloons, more often than not, deflate when trying to fill them with the numerous fillers we tried…slime, clear glue, water, hair gel, glitter, floam….and many more! However, it does create an element of fear/danger that was entertaining to those watched…’will it deflate before you get the contents in AND can you pump the balloon/bulb back up in enough time that the glitter filled contents and whatever else your child wants to put in (per the YouTube videos and Dr. Squish suggestions) runs over’….making a HUGE mess! My husband is a high vacuum engineer (not vacuum cleaners, industrial high vacuum pumps)…his opinion good design; bad quality. He has been busy keeping this contraption repaired and “working”. Secondly, once you get the squishy made…it is difficult to get them tied off. And, out of the 10 plus we have made only 2 remain in use. We keep them in the sink…just in case they spring a leak…However, again there is still the element of fear/surprise…regarding will they explode, rupture or leak from the tied off top of the ballon/bulb!?! Lastly, Santa does not do returns or exchanges….so, we have a disappointed little one that asks to make “one more” because it might work this time…seriously sad! Do not override your intuition, this contraption is the mess you imagine it will be…even though it seems like loads of fun it is a ton of mess and disappointment.

This is our second Dr. Squish squishy maker. The first one stopped working and I let my 10 year old problem solve, but it didn't end up being fixable. I emailed the help desk (which is outsourced to another country) and after sending a second email, they responded saying there was nothing they could do to help. So I bought another one. It really is fun for kids to make their own squishies. My 10 year old needs help sometimes so I would assume children younger than 12 still need parental supervision and assistance. This kit comes with fun add-ins but only a few actual squishy skins to make squishies. I (and my child) wish it came with more or there was the option to buy them separately. There is a refill kit available with more add ins and five more squishies, but we haven't tried that yet.My daughter got this one yesterday and has probably made 10 squishies before it started acting up- it isn't inflating the squishy skin even though the dome is on tightly and we cleaned the seal. So frustrating! Very fun though!!!**edited to add that the company contacted me and sent another squishy maker at no charge. This one is holding up and my daughter is so happy!

Bought this for kids after they saw the 1000 ads on YouTube kids. The idea is fun and exciting but this design is very flawed. First, it is not that easy to use. Definitely need adult assistance or supervision for any child under the age of 10. It says for ages 8+ but that’s inaccurate. Sure younger kids will enjoy this, but they cannot use it on their own. Placing the balloon on the device is difficult, filling (inflating) it is easy with the pump, but removing the squishy and clipping it is nearly impossible. Takes a lot of effort! Also, almost all of them leaked after the kids played with them for a few hours and one balloon had a small hole so couldn’t even inflate. This kit only comes with 5 balloon to make the squishies, which means you will constantly need to buy refills which are pricey ($18 for 5). It also does not come with enough clips, so you have to use string to tie a few of the balloons. Not a good value. Also very messy.
