Good book

The book is very good, lots of jigs and woodwork for a joinery or carpentry shop ,full of drawings and explanation step by step, many pictures and very well explained ,the only step back is all measurements are in inches no millimeters at all. It's a American book.

this book is a must have book for those of us just starting into woodworking. it not only gives you all the measurements and sizes and types of wood ,and gives you the method of construction. so buy this book for all the help it can give you.

So, You've a router, and a table saw,and probably loads more tools, before you start building things,(Like a bookcase or a house) you need some practise on using the kit. Watching Norm Abram is no substitute for switching things on and using them. This is the one of the best woodworking books I've read, and I'm a self-confessed bookaholic, and it is excellent. Loads of projects with sized diagrams and pictures on useful things to make that will build your confidence and produce things that you can use again and again in the future. Written by enthusiasts for enthusiasts

Great book and very helpful

An American-based book with plenty of good ideas for attachments for table saws and routers, although most of them involve quite a bit of outlay. Some of the materials used would be hard to source in the UK too. I regarded it as something to set me thinking about projects for my newly-acquired table saw and router. Also there are many videos on youtube showing how to make such things as a table saw sled, but plans and dimensions are given in this book, so it is a useful reference.

Why do they always have to be American publications, Surely English craftsmen are articulate enough to pass their skills on.

Muy útil siempre que se quiera para hacer los proyectos descritos. En mi caso creo que es un libro tremendo porque quiero hacer una mesa para la mesa circular y otra para la fresadora (con un poco de madera, algo de metal y este libro es muy factible).

Ho trovato molto interessante questo libro in quanto spiega (in inglese ovviamente) passo passo tutti i Jigs che si possono costruire in modo facile e intuitivo grazie a foto e disegni senza spendere molto per poter lavorare il legno con gli elettroutensili.

look elsewhere.. this is very basic. kindle version is poorly done. it contains few jigs, none of which are very interesting.
