Bought as a gift

I missed this series first time around but caught up with some of it on Amazon Prime, until they removed it!Bought this used copy as the new copies are so expensive. If you like a quirky medical drama then this is for you. It contains quite a lot of operating room scenes and blood, but then it is about surgeons and hospital! One or two of the story lines are a little unreal in my opinion however, they sometimes come up with something poignant about life that makes you think. It's a lot about the love lives and romantic attachments of the doctors, particularly with certain consultants or "attendings" as they are called. This is set in Seattle Grace Hospital in America. You soon learn who is who and their characters start to unfold. Really liked the characters of Dr Yang - played by the excellent actor Sandra Oh, and I liked Dr. Burke - Isaiah Washington, and then of course there is Doctor Shepherd (McDreamy!) Patrick Dempsey, and a whole host of others all worth a mention. It's good to be able to look forward to so many series' and see how they all progress through their working and personal lives. If you do buy any of the series I hope you enjoy it.

Some discs start as if they have already been used even though they are supposed to be new and others jump/ stick

This is my favourite box set of all time. I can watch it over and over again and not get board! Love it and i would recommend to anyone to watch this!!

Some disks played up abit but most worked

Good quality box housing several discs in nice individual pull out "booklets" with beautiful covers.Bought as a gift for my daughter- she loves it. Would recommend to fans.

5 stars for the series but 3 taken away for the quality of the DVDs. Had read other reviews saying there were problems but hoped they were just isolated ones. No problems with first 4 seasons but have just reached Season 5 and 3 of the 6 discs won't play. Thought I'd never get one of them out of my laptop drive. I've tried all 3 malfunctioning discs in multiple machines which are able to play other DVDs so it is not the hardware, it's the DVDs. Can't return as bought too long ago (I like to dip in and out rather than binge!) so would probably have been better off to buy each series separately as I wanted to watch it and could then have returned it if any of the discs malfunctioned. I'm hoping the remaining seasons are OK but would recommend that if you buy this set you watch them as soon as possible so you can identify any faulty discs quickly.

Bought for me for Valentines day. My daughter and I have enjoyed watching it together and are bereft now we've finished all 12 seasons.
