I have given this 4 stars, would be 5 but for the high cost. This is a very good product which was delivered promptly. I used it on my potted strawberries and blueberries after a few were destroyed by these destructive little grubs. I also did a small test after I received this product by mixing some live vine weevil grubs (which killed my strawberry plants) into the compost of a few pots and then added some of this killer to the potted soil. After one week I checked the condition of the vine weevils. They all looked quite dead or almost dead. So, although this product is not cheap, it does the business, and I will be buying some more in the Autumn and again next Spring to ensure these grubs do not start populating my pots.

I used this as it seems to have taken care of the problem quite effectively. I bought two lots and used them over the course of a few weeks. We actually saw physical evidence of the grubs in our large bay tree, and our camellias and rose bushes were also looking in poor condition. I treated them all and they have all bounced back really quickly, particularly the roses which are looking lovely and healthy again. A point to note, use rainwater if possible, but if you have to use tap water, either gas off the chlorine overnight first or get some ecothrive drops or similar to neutralise the chlorine and chloramine in the tap water as otherwise chlorinated tap water will kill the nematodes and your treatment may potentially be ineffective. Also, continue to water plants again with treated tap water or ideally rainwater.

Use straight away as it will dry out, expensive for what you get. Needs to go in the fridge as soon as possible if you are not using it on the first day.

I use this product on my Strawberries every year - although this is the first time I have bought it in the Autumn - I normally wait until Spring but by then the damage has been started. Just mix the packet up into water - instructions very clear on the information and then re-dilute again and apply to the area where you have the trouble with the vine weevil larvae. Within a week you can see the larvae dying in the soil. I applied it this year in the autumn to give my strawberries a good start in the Spring. Vine Weevil Larvae just eat the roots of the plants so you can't see the damage till its too late! This is an excellent natural product as you are just putting into the soil a nemotode that is already present in soil but obviously not in high enough quantities to do what it needs to do. I just love it and I don't have to worry about doing any harm to any birds or mammals who may visit my Polytunnel. Couldn't give this high enough rating. It is well worth the money - saves you money - you don't have to buy new plants. Will be buying again next year.
