SivitecHeadphone/Earphone In-Line Volume Control Cable 27cm

I bought this to see if it could help with a noise issue from my sons keyboard. He got some headphones to allow him to play late at night without disturbing his younger siblings (and parents). The headphones should be fairly good, and possibly very sensitive. Unfortunately he would not use them, as he experienced a "humming" noise which he felt very annoying (He has Asperger's syndrome). The theory was that the noise was independent to the signal, and that an attenuator (volume control) could dampen both the noise and the signal, but then increasing the volume from the keyboard to basically increase the signal to noise ratio. A bit to my surprise it worked, and I give it 5 star for the cheapest solution to the problem.Now we also looked at removing the noise problem, and I also bought a ground loop isolator at 3 times the price, but still cheap compared to the headphones. This worked too, and as we guess the ground loop should distort the signal less, is the solution currently used.My son is happy and that is what really matters!

Works as expected - I purchased a Pure POP Maxi and wanted to plug my XBOX 360 into the back of it. Unfortunately, as the Pure POP expects this input to be used by something like a mobile phone (with it's own volume control) rather than something with a line out (such as the XBOX 360), there is no option to control the input volume on the unit itself.Enter this item - for a couple of quid, set the volume as required and forget about it.

The cord is a bit long for my liking but I've coiled it so now suitable for my needs. I like the 'wheel' type volume control as it is so easy to use. Just turn for volume up or down rather than having to find the up or down button on some controllers. Good volume range from nothing to loud

These work exactly as I expected. The control conveniently lengthens the original cable and puts the volume conrtol close to the device where it is easily accessable. The actual control is a bit fine at the quiet end but at this price I have no compaints.

I used this to connect my Sky Box to a pair of headphones without volume control on, cannot fault this product and works well

i use with bose noise cancelling headphones on board aircraft. the bose only have a hi lo setting so these in line volume controls fit the bill..

Good value. fast delivery, works well, a little short for me., will be ordering one with a longer lead, from this seller if they have one.

seems to work ok so far how long they last I could not tell you.
