Its really tiny. Like a coin. Yet it hold on the the micro-USB end like an octopus and the regular USB end really well. I have used it on my Note 4 and even taken calls with a memory stick attached to the end of it (without realising) and it was still there by the end of the call. I use it with my Linx 10 to connect a 3TB External HDD and it works perfectly well. The best part is that I can convert any USB device and make it micro USB simply by attachin this and it add less than 1cm to the overall size. I actually manage to connect my Linx 10 to a separate powered USB Hub (my docking bay) which has additional USB ports as well as NIC and it still works fine. I was worried that it would overheat and melt but I have been streaming videos, transferring files as well as running RDP sessions over the wired network connected through this adapter and its still fine. I either keep it in my pocket in the provided box or in the coin pouch wrapped in a small baking sheet (just for safety). The only drawback(positive) to it is that it is pretty small so its easy to leave behind, but at the cost its offered, its also easy to buy a few.

meZmory USB OTG (On the Go) Adapter - Sold by ‘Tech-Surfer United Kingdom’ Pros: Small size, cheap, universal support Cons: Durability a possible concern On August 31st I purchased the above USB OTG adapter on Amazon from ‘Tech-Surfer United Kingdom’ this was received promptly in the post and securely packed, I did not search Amazon for this product specifically but found it in the ’Customers Who Viewed This Item Also Viewed’ section when browsing other products; to be honest I was unaware that a compact version of OTG cables existed until this point. I utilise USB OTG a lot in both my work and my personal time, uses range from simple use of memory sticks in phones and tablets to more complex use in my portable audio rigs where I connect USB DACs (Digital Audio Converters) to phones and tablets to increase the audio quality and connect amplifiers to the audio chain. In all of these usages the compact nature of this product is a massive ‘Pro’ but unfortunately as I will come to shortly, a potential ‘Con’ at the same time. As there is very little in the way of support around the 3 components that make up the device it is too easy for the parts to bend and I actually thought I broke the unit when I heard a cracking noise putting it in my phone. On further investigation I actually realised the unit was quite simple to take apart and repair with nothing truly broken and only bent, however following this it sometimes disassembled itself when disconnecting it from the device (2 dabs of glue have fixed this). I have included some photos of this unit in use compared to my previous situation (long cable) so you get an idea of the benefit, which in my opinion outweigh the potential issue I raise above. In conclusion, this is a great product and a must have for anyone that uses USB OTG in the home or office. My concerns over durability were largely alleviated when I managed to repair my original unit but the fact stands that it bent very easily so I would recommend against using it on the move. At the price I paid (£3.49 Plus free delivery as an add on item, Amazon Prime) I am not sure the above critique should put anyone off, if you need to go from micro to full size USB with OTG support I am not sure a smaller adapter could exist. Make it a one piece design and it would go from 4 stars to a perfect 5 out of 5. Full disclosure: After fearing I had broken my original unit I took Tech-Surfer United Kingdom up on an offer of providing another unit for review purposes and this was sent to me free of charge.

Great product, works well, connects well, very small size, good packaging, as it comes with a case to store the adapter. So far so good, I cannot attest to it's durability since I'm quite careful when plugging things into machines and always put it back in it's case after using it. I presume the connectors can be broken quite easily since everything is on show. So some extra handling is probably advised. Overall, definitely recommended, much smaller factor (therefore be careful to not misplace them) than the usual OTG cables and works just as well.

This tiny bit of kit sits inside the plug of your standard USB stick, or a standard USB male plug, so you can plug into a device using a female micro-B USB socket. What's more it is an OTG adapter (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USB_On-The-Go for an explanation, but it's a bit mind-boggling). The advantage of this item is its size. Adding a normal adapter to the end of a standard USB stick makes the stick longer and more unwieldy, more likely to be knocked possibly resulting in damage to the socket in your device. It is not unknown for their soldered joints to the circuit board to fail. This item reduces that possibility. The main disadvantage of this item is also its size, it is very easy to lose ! However, it is supplied in a standard SD card case with a special foam insert, a good solution. A potential problem is that it is difficult to pick it up without touching the contacts, which should of course be kept clean and shiny, and if you do not keep it in the case provided, or permanently inserted into a standard USB male plug.you may have problems with dust and fluff. Keeping it loose in the bottom of a handbag would not be a good idea. Nothing in life is perfect. Inevitably, either the top end or the bottom end is going to be a tighter fit than the other depending on manufacturing tolerances and the particular USB plug and micro-b socket you are using. When you remove the USB stick, sometimes the adapter stays in the stick, sometimes it stays in the device (a 7" tablet in my case). Personally, I would rather it stayed in the stick, and am a little surprised that it doesn't, but there you go. You just have to pay attention when unplugging. If you plan to only use it with one particular stick, then a bit of superglue, well away from the contacts, might well be a solution. Chewing gum or blu-tak not recommended :) Of course a neater solution is to buy one of the new USB sticks with micro-USB plug at one end and standard plug at the other, but if you already have a collection of normal sticks which you want to use, or want to attach a portable disk-drive, DVD drive or whatever, then you have to use an adapter of some kind. One issue is that the adapter fits into the standard USB plug either way round, and inevitably you will put it in the wrong way first time and wonder why nothing happens - that is because the contacts are not contacting. Fortunately, this can do no harm to the equipment. Note how the assembly looks when both incorrectly and correctly inserted, and you will soon see that there is a difference. Whether or not you remember to look first every time is up to you ! This might be a good reason for adopting the superglue solution, but please do double check you have it in the right way round before the superglue dries. I'm torn how many stars to give. It's neat, it's clever, it works. At least it works for me, but may be too fiddly for some. There are flaws, which maybe some engineer can eventually overcome, but they are working with an existing design of standard USB plug which doesn't leave them many options. Three I think - if I had designed it myself I'd be itching to improve it before putting it on the market.

A tiny device which works perfectly with my Nexus 6 and a standard USB stick. In order to enable OTG (On-The-Go) USB I believe the phone has to be rooted, though possibly some phones will allow it without root. It looks like a very useful tool which will enable virtually unlimited storage - since my Nexus 6 has no SDXC slot OTG is the only expansion option. It's a very tight fit in the socket - not necessarily a bad thing as long as it does no long-term damage, but I wouldn't expect to have to plug it in very often, since its main purpose for me is to allow me to carry files to occasionally copy into the phone's internal storage.

This is a fantastic little adapter, totally minimalist approach to an OTG connector. I use it for connecting extra USB sticks to a FiioX3 when I’m at home, might be a little too small for rough handling but ideal for my use. Also need to keep an eye on it as being so small it’s easy to misplace, but overall I’m surprised how impressed I am by a tiny piece of plastic and metal (this thing really is small 20mm x 12mm x 3mm). As well as the MP3 player I’ve also used it with a couple of different Samsung tablets with several different brands of USB devices and have had no issues at all so far. Would definitely recommend if you think it would fit your needs.

Does the job as described. A slightly odd design in that it does not enclose the standard USB-A male plug (e.g. a memory stick plugged into this adapter) as ordinary USB female sockets do. This made the connection a bit wobbly and not as robust as a fully enclose version. However, it works well and no other complaints. The great thing is this connector allows you to connect standard accessories (USB sticks etc.) to a standard micro USB plug in your phone or tablet PC. However, not all devices can recognise the attached accessory - it depends if the manufacturer has enabled USB-OTG technology. But at this price it's worth buying just to try!

This is one of the doziest pieces of design I have ever had the misfortune to buy. It works, worryingly in a lab situation. I say worryingly because everything about it screams help when you see the easy exposure to physical.damage due to cretinous design. I bought this piece of ... well ... you can imagine ... ok in room for 2 or 3 days but tried taking it out and it had fallen to bits before even trying to use it. If you've bought one, tough ... it's not worth claiming your money back.

Ich muss gestehen, dass ich bei diesem OTG USB Adapter etwas zögerte, bis ich ihn mir bestellte hatte. Im Nachhinein, bin ich aber sehr froh darüber, dass ich ihn mir doch geholt habe. Wie man auf den Bildern sehen kann, ist der Stecker so klein, dass er in jede Tasche passt. Wer beim Transport die Sicherheit haben möchte, dass er keinen Schaden nimmt, kann ihn in der kleine Box, mit welcher er auch geliefert wurde, mitnehmen. Darin ist er sicher aufgehoben. Beim ersten herausholen, hatte ich Angst, dass er schon beim anfassen zerbrechen könne aber auch nach mehrmaligem benutzen macht er immernoch einen recht solieden Eindruck für seine Größe. Ich habe mit ihm eine Maus und einen USB Stick an meinem Tablet angeschlossen und es gibt nichts zu bemängeln. Der micro USB Stecker ist recht lang, so dass man ihn auch getrost bei einem Gerät verwenden kann, welches in einer Schutzhülle steckt, ohne diese vorher entfernen zu müssen. Ich wünschte nur, ich hätte das gute Stück schon früher entdeckte, dann hätte ich mir meine anderen Adapter sparen können.

Très pratique à condition de ne pas le perdre.il est vraiment minuscule...du coup je le transporte dans sa petite boite plastique d'origine qui elle est un peu plus grand qu'une carte SD. Reçu très rapidement,il est très simple à utiliser et permet de brancher une clef usb sur smartphone ou relier entre eux un 2nd appareil avec le cable micro usb du téléphone. La tige est un peu longue et dépasse un peu de mon appareil mais c'est le seul défaut que je lui trouve. Il lui manque une petite ficelle pour l'attacher à un porte clef par exemple.

l'adattatore è molto piccolo , direi minuscolo, si adatta al tablet sony xperia z4 e ne favorisce la portabilità. E^ stato rilevato subito e mi ha permesso di leggere i contenuti della chiave usb collegata : ora sono stati superati i problemi di storage. Mi è arrivato prima del termine stabilito e con un ottimo imballaggio dentro una scatolina di plastica che mi consentirà di non rovinarlo e non perderlo nel trasporto.Un occhiello per il laccetto non vedo proprio dove avrebbero potuto collocarlo , Queste sono le mie prime valutazioni ma un buon inizio fa ben sperare

Der Adapter funktioniert bei mir am Sony Xperia Z2 wunderbar. Von der Formatierung der externen Geräte hängt es ab ob mein Smartphone dies erkennt. Ist also nicht dem Adapter zuzuführen. Die Kompakte Bauweise ist vor- und nachteil zugleich. Somit sollte der Adapter wenig Platz verbrauchen. Letztendlich hat sich für mich herausgestellt das mit der kleinen SD-Karten Hülle mehr platz verbraucht als wohl ein Adapter welcher auf der Rückseite die Kontakte geschützt hat. Aber dies Zusatzhülle schützt den Adapter natürlich auch vor evtl. Krafteinwirkungen. Wesentlicher Nachteil, weswegen ich in der Produktbewertung einen Punkt abgezogen habe ist das nicht alle USB Sticks daran halten. sprich wenn der USB Stick ebenfalls so kompakt gebaut wurde und die keine komplette Umhüllung der Kontakte zu allen seiten besitzt. Dies ist wahrscheinlich auch nur eine Ausnahme als die Regel. Ich habe mittlerweile eine Aufberwahrungseinheit (eine Schutzverpackung von Ohrenstöpseln) dazu verwendet das hier der platz für den Adapter (inkl. Schutzverpackung sowie 2 USB Stick (Schlüsselähnlicher, und super kleiner) platz finden. Das ganze ist nur geringfügig breiter und länger als die Adapter Verpackung. Da ich allerdings momentan auf den Geschmack gekommen bin Leder hüllen zu bauen. werde ich mir hier wohl auch eine Schustern.
