Alison Gardiner 'Country House Christmas' Large Traditional Advent Calendar

Bought for my mother in law who is severely disabled and until by mouth so can’t make use of the usual food orientated advent calendars. She loved it and has incorporated it into her Christmas decorations ready for next year

I buy a new traditional advent calendar each year. This is the first one by Alison Gardener and it does not disappoint. Will be considering collecting others in the series for future years.

There are so many good things about this advent calendar, all so simple its a wonder ALL advent calendars don't adopt this pleasing approach. Firstly it is beautifully printed, sturdy and colourful. It's Christmassy and compliments your other decorations. The windows don't tear and are easily opened. Most of all the images correspond perfectly (so far on 6th December) to what could actually be happening on the house. All the numbers are scattered throughout the picture so you do have to look for them which adds to the fun. You could use this calendar every year the quality is that good. Its a lovely product which I am very pleased I purchased.

The windows are tricky to open, even with a pin. Despite this, we love it.

Very poor quality, it is basically a paper calendar - not sturdy. Amazon have not advertised it correctly, there is no glitter on this item - not a big deal, but was what we particularly wanted. Not to mention it’s half the price in other online shops.Amazon customer service assistant not particularly helpful - unusual for them.

Now that my children are all grown-up I wanted an old fashioned, traditional calendar (no chocolates) and this was perfect! I love the fact that when you open the windows the pictures depict a typical scene within the home e.g. a lady with a christmas pudding and not a penguin, as another one I purchased showed. I have now bought two!

It took me ages to find an advent calendar with just pictures. Ordered 3rd December (a little late I know) and it was due to arrive on the 7th. It didn't! Fuss and palaver with Royal Mail, who claimed they'd tried to deliver it when they clearly hadn't,including a strongly worded e-mail meant it finally arrived on 12th. It's a beautiful calendar and I've tucked it away in the drawer for next year.

Bought these for my son and daughter as was fed up with the ridiculous chocolate filled ones (how does the Avengers printed on a piece of cardboard signify christmas?). These calendars are excellent quality with detail filled scenes and a real christmas feel and the best thing is that the glitter on them does not fall of (worth the 5 stars alone!). would definitely buy again.

Dimensioni giuste, colori perfetti, la grafica che mi ricorda i calendari di quando ero piccola. non ho ancora aperto le finestrelle ma sono sicura che non resterò delusa... rapporto prezzo qualità giusto considerato che l'ho pagato 15 euro circa a fronte di quelli inglesi (più belli certo come grafica) che su amazon non ho trovato a meno di 38/40 euro... direi decisamente troppo per due pezzi di cartoncino!! Consiglio quindi l'acquisto! Buon Natale a tutti!

I've had an Advent calendar every year of my very long life, and this one is just lovely. Some awful calendars have the windows cut into the illustration on the front willy nilly, ruining it the more windows are opened. This one, however, has each window of the house opening, leaving the handsome house and street scene on the front intact, with an illustration appropriate for the room behind each window. Upstairs children are going to bed, on the middle floor is a dance party complete with bagpiper, and downstairs in the main hall is the nativity scene. It's a card calendar, thicker than the typical thickness of a good quality birthday card. A good calendar makes all the difference at Advent, and we really liked this one.

Si lo que quieres es un calendario de adviento sencillo pero entrañable, es perfecto. Diferentes escenarios detrás de cada ventada y la ilusión de lo que vas a encontrar. Un clásico.

I was very disappointed in this Advent Calendar; I had expected "English Charles Dickens" like pictures nad instead they were cartoon like. There is not much that is traditional about this calendar.
