Home users beware. - This is the second of these I have purchased. This is an absolute must for anyone that does network runs. I’m generally old school and typically use standard toning, but in a pinch and true wtf situation the intellitone feature can be nice. It’s range it’s greater than standard toning and will function even when hooked to a switch. If you are new to telco punching and never used a standard toner before, you may think that this isn’t a good product. I urge anyone that is just starting out to give themselves a few jobs with the device before leaving a review. Also keep in mind that this does not do certification. It does however verify you have end to end connectivity and will tell you if anything is crossed. One other review comments that it’s not accurate for measuring length. I would argue that it’s only an approximation of length based on the twists that it detects in the wires. It’s almost always going to be a few feet off. This was my first time buying this kit rather than just the tool. I needed a punch and assorted tools for a new job. My first fluke branded punch down tool. It’s pretty great!
