Leuchtturm 225mm x 315mm A4 Plus Master Lined Notebook - Black

Leuchtturm put a lot of thought into this superb notebook. I use mine as a graphite pencil sketchbook and it is very nice to use. The clever subtle page numbers on each page combined with a front of notebook index, means my sketches can easily be catalogued/indexed - Rhodia, are you listening. The size ot the book is slightly larger than A4 which allows the back slip pocket to be used with A4 pages withhout folding, although in use it is quite difficult to slide a A4 paper into the pocket. Sorry I can't give any insight into fountain pen use. I must say that the paper, while lovely and smooth which allows for great pencil control does "show through" fairly dramatically when heavy pencil prssure is used. In this case I simply skip the reverse of the page...and the alternative Rhodia's Clairfontaine paper also shows through under pressure. The Moleskine sketchbooks 160gsm are one alternative if you want paper that can be used with heavy pressure and no show through and Clairfontaine also make heavy weight sketchbooks.

I have a red Leuchtturm, A4+ size, 235 pages, dot grid. I'm in love with it. The paper withstands my fountain pens. The dots are bold enough to be visible, faint enough not to be intrusive. The pocket in the back is roomy. There are two ribbons for marking different places in your book. It comes with well-made sticky labels, square ones for the front cover and long ones for the spine. As if all that were not enough, the hard covers are so sturdy that they don't incur any damage even when I Scotch-tape things to them and then rip them off again, which happens daily. I only have one complaint about this wonderful product: the majestic A4+/235 pages size, which is Leuchtturm's largest, only comes in 3 colours (black, red, navy). It's a pity because the smaller sizes come in a host of colours. Other than that, I'm a very happy customer! If they start making it in more colours, I will buy the whole range.

Excellent binding, good quality paper and numbered pages make this a great journal for cross referencing etc. Lies flat when you are writing and the ink doesn’t bleed through (at least for me). I had considered an artists a4 sketchbook originally (for paper quality and weight) but this is good enough for note taking. The spine and cover stickers ensure that you can find notes in a series of these books. Top quality.

I generally like this companies products and wanted a larger notebook to keep long term notes eg tax, birthday dates. Good sized book. Lots of pages. Pity Amazon thought it was ok to send the item in the cellophane the manufacturer wrapped the item in. The delivery guy must have been extremely careful with the item since it does not seem to have been damaged. Why do people still use Amazon?

Great notebook with top quality paper. Unlike Moleskine and the likes, who would match the paper quality, but this one is no frills, no detachable pages, to-do lists, address pages, etc., just numbered pages, three contents pages, and a document pocket in the rear. This was exactly what I was after, as legally for my particular I am required to be able to show that none of the pages are missing, so detachable pages are a non-starter. Using it with a fountain pen, and there is no leak-through. The pages are reasonably thick and feel nice to the touch, unlike other notebooks who feature much thinner paper. It just has this air of professionality, and I love it.

Bought this notebook to replace my previous a5 size leuchtturm that I had filled. I decided I would upgrade the size to increase the detail of the notes I would take on a daily basis. I use this notebook for bullet journalling. I have to say the larger size really gives a more luxurious feel and provides plenty of room for more detailed notes. I even started doing full page notes on training courses that I was doing inside it. The paper weight is slightly thicker than the a5 version meaning pen will not bleed through most of the time (not that this is ever an issue for me). The paper has good tooth and works well with pencils. The hard cover is prone to denting although I feel this adds to the appearance as the notebook is progressively used more and more. The notebook has a useful pocket attached to the back cover which will easily fit multiple sheets of standard a4 paper I've taken a few months after purchasing this book because I wanted to have enough time to formulate an opinion on it.

With the closure of Paperchase, I was looking for a new notebook/journal. I stumbled upon Leuchtturm1917, and it was the answer to my loss of Paperchase Agenzio notebooks. I have to admit, Leuchtturm1917 notebooks are of a better quality, and I wish I made the switch sooner. I hope the quality will remain high

This book I guess is not something most of us would buy on a regular basis due to the cost but if you want something really special it's well worth the money as it looks great and professional. I saw the comments about ink bleeding through the pages but I have a fountain pen with mb mysterious black ink and there is no bleed through whatsoever - the papers too thick. The seller was brilliant, rapid and well packaged and pristine.

Einfach Klasse! Die Notizbücher von Leuchtturm sind allesamt von erstklassiger Qualität. Dieses Exemplar ist die extra dicke Ausführung, für mich ideal für die Notizen im Büro. Durch seine Größe ist es allerdings auch ein ganz schön dicker Schinken. Es verschwindet also nicht mal eben so in der Handtasche. In meiner Laptoptasche hat es allerdings definitiv Platz. Zur Größe kommt aber auch noch das nicht zu unterschätzende Gewicht hinzu. Da ich aber viele Termine etc. habe, lohnt sich die dünnere Version oder die A5 Ausgabe nicht. Diese wäre dann in kürzester Zeit bereits wieder gefüllt. Das Papier hat eine sehr gute Qualität, auch mit Filzstift kann man seine Aufzeichnungen eintragen, ohne das die Schrift zu dolle durchscheint oder sich durchdrückt. Praktisch finde ich die Seitenzahlen, da kann man auch ohne Probleme ohne Postit Zettel Flut auf eine frühere Eintragung verweisen. Dabei ist ein Blatt mit Etiketten die zur Beschriftung des Deckels und des Rückens dienen sollen. Ausprobiert habe ich diese allerdings noch nicht. Ich bevorzuge die innenliegende Beschriftungsmöglichkeit. Ebenso nützlich ist das rote Gummiband, so bleiben auch lose eingelegte Zettel an ihrem Platz. Die beiden Seitenmarkierbänder sind auch hilfreich für die persönliche Organisation und Einteilung des Notizbuches. Ich habe mich dieses Mal für die Farbe rot entschieden. Es ist ein sattes, kräftiges "Feuerwehrrot". Genauso hatte ich es mir auch vorgestellt. Ich kann das edle Teil also uneingeschränkt jedem empfehlen, der ein ordentlich dickes Buch benötigt und auf gutes Papier Wert legt.

Man tendiert heutzutage zunehmends alles digital zu dokumentieren. Mache ich auch, aber ich schätze die Möglichkeit alles auf Papier fest zu halten, weil es nicht abstürzt ;D, kein Akku braucht um darauf zu zugreifen und gutes Papier kann Jahrthunderte überleben wenn andere Technologien unbrauchbar werden. Bei diesem extra großem DIN-A4+Notizblock von Leuchtturm habe ich das gute Gefühl, daß es wirklich mehrere Dekaden überstehen kann. Das Papier der 233 Seiten sind stark, tintensicher, in blanko, bds unten durch nummeriert und wirkt mit seiner dezent beigen Farbe sehr nobel. Der Block ist in roten Kunstledereinband gebunden und hat an der hinteren Einbandklappe eine angeklebte Papierfalte im Längsformat für lose Notizen. Mit einem Gummiband kann der Block im Hochformat geschlossen werden, damit eingelegte Blätte nicht raus fallen können. Ein ausreichend langer und fest befestigter Leseband ist vorhanden. Mitgeliefert werden 4x rechteckige Beschriftungssticker für den Deckel, 3x Sticker für Buchrücken und ein Einlegeblatt mit Karierung und Linierung. 8 hintere Blätter können zum Einheften sauber heraus getrennt werden. Ich habe das Buch für Dokumentation im Labor gekauft. Aber das Buch wirkt so nobel, daß ich eher meine Memoiren oder andere zeitlose Dokumentationen hier festhalten würde :). Ich werde auf jedenfall noch die anderen Formate und Einbandfarben ausprobieren. Der Preis ist zwar recht hoch, aber absolut berechtigt, vor allem wenn man in 20 Jahren die Notizen sieht.

The best paper among any notebooks on the market -- even a fine Sharpie doesn't write through. The binding is sound, there's a nice bellows envelope onside to hold loose papers. Two ribbons serve as excellent page markers. Don't forget to note the different paper designs -- you can get various layouts including blank, ruled, wide ruled, quarter inch grid, metric grid, and more, plus my favorite, the dot matrix. This one gives you enough of a hint of organization that you can write neatly and sketch kitchen plans or office layout, but it doesn't overwhelm you and leave you a sobbing insecure writer dominated by a notebook grid. (Yes, it happens.) The cover is durable, the binding endures, and the pages are numbered. What more to ask for? 5 Stars

Papier 100g couché qui permet à l’encre d’un stylo-plume généreux de ne pas s’étaler comme sur un buvard. Le 90g de Clairefontaine est un poil meilleur. L’encre ne blanchit pas ni ne traverse la page comme sur le papier Moleskine, ou le Quo Vadis 70g. Le cahier contient 120 pages, soit 240 faces recto-verso. Deux faces sont réservées pour un index. 235 faces sont numérotées. Deux marque-pages différent et solides, contre une seule tresse lache chez les concurrents. Une pochette en 3eme de couverture, comme les autres La couverture n’est pas plastifiée, comme chez ses principaux concurrents. Tous les détails sont très soignés. Pas de bavures de colle entre les coutures des cahiers, par exemple. Il y a même un jeu d’étiquettes (couverture + bordure) pour le référencèrent au moment de le ranger dans sa bibliothèque , quand on l’a rempli. Le tout est complété - dans le modèle à pages en blanc, par une page guide lignée recto, et à petits carreaux verso, des fois qu’on en ait envie ou besoin. C’est dans les prix des Quo-Vadis de taille équivalente. Dernier point, la version « A4 » dont je dispose mesure 22,5 x 31,2 cm, un peu plus d’un centimètre par côté que la norme A4. J’écris gros, avec une plume Pelikan M1000 « médium » qui vaut une plume B chez Lamy, ou Mont-blanc, mais bien plus « mouillée ». Je suis très content du résultat ! :)

Kein Schnäppchen, dafür hat man aber was in der Hand. Gewohnt gute Verarbeitung der Firma. Es gibt billigere Exemplare, die sehen aber dann auch billig aus und fühlen sich auch so an. Bietet ein gewohnt gutes Ordnungssystem.
