Gold Plated Sterling Silver (Vermeil) Bumble Bee Pendant Necklace with Intricate Details

This was bought as a present and on the strength of the 5 Star reviews. Here is another one: superb value, beautifully detailed and delivered exactly as promised. This little bee makes its over priced rival(s) look decidedly expensive. It is more than a match for a well known make and in a blind test, four of my friends picked this one out as 'much nicer' than the original. When they were told the price difference was over 7 times cheaper they were astounded. If you are undecided or perhaps concerned at the price/quality and think, as I did before reading the reviews, that it cannot be done for the price, then this delightful bee will give you the same buzz as I got when I first opened the pouch. Highly recommended, it really is lovely.

Love love love this necklace! The detail on it is amazing, it looks so expensive. The gold is beautiful, not cheap looking, the only downside, well sort of! Is how tiney tiny it is, thought the bee would be a bit bigger. However its a really lovely necklace, if you like the Alex Monroe bee but dont want to break the bank. This is deffo worth buying! :)

I was browsing bee pendants yesterday and I did of course come across a well-known iconic bee necklace mentioned by other reviewers. I passed that by thanks to the price - and then I found this bee here on Amazon. I couldn't believe the similarity and I couldn't resist ordering it. As others have said it's lovely quality with a real designer look. The finish is quite matte which gives the gold quite a rich antique tone - to be honest this colour of gold really doesn't suit my colouration but I have no intention of returning this bee because it's gorgeous. From wingtip to wingtip it measures 23mm, so it's big enough to be noticeable but small enough to be classy. I'm very pleased the chain has an extender enabling this to be worn a different lengths which is handy when layering. I'm in my early 50s and I think this necklace is very chic - definitely something which can be worn by all ages. Highly recommended.

I was so excited for this to arrive but unfortunately it was disappointing. The bee pendant itself is lovely although it has 4 little legs which can make it sit weirdly (not flat) on your chest. It is quite a small pendant but I actually quite like that as it is more delicate and elegant.However the chain is very very poor quality and the clasp broke as soon as I tried to open it. The chain is very dainty as well and I don't think it will last long. I have had to replace the clasp with one from an old necklace. But given this necklace should have cost £45 full price, and even for £20 it is quite poor quality compared with other cheaper jewellery shops out there.

Gorgeous, really pleased. I'm a huge admirer of Alex Monroe's bee pieces and have admired/coveted my friend's baby bee for ages. So when this from Silver Rain came up in a search, and with such positive reviews and fantastic price I thought why not? No regrets, am loving it and had a lot of compliments. The details are delightful, it's a warm yellow gold, and the chain is fine and delicate. Definitely recommend.

Present for my daughter, she loved it I am a bit concerned about the chain being a bit flimsy but the little bee is lovely.

the bee seemed slightly smaller than expected but it was ok also it seemed to be slightly different in texture to what other people got from looking at the review photos. the whole necklace tarnished in a few days, I bought this as I thought it would be slightly better quality from the cheaper but same looking ones on eBay but I was wrong, there is nothing plated to do with this and it's not even made from non-tarnishable metal, it's just a super cheap china thing sold at a higher price with claims it's gold plated. Don't buy this, if you want to buy this I suggest you go for the cheap five quid thing on eBay because it's just the same or save up for the real Alex Monroe one as you would get more joy out of it.

Lovely necklace. As other reviewers have said, I looked at the Alex Monroe site, and decided that their offering was too pricey, so looked for other alternatives. I was delighted to find this, and it is as good as it looks. Great size of bee - not too big, not too small, nice detailing and a lovely balance. The colour of the gold plating is really nice too, looks expensive ! Would certainly recommend this solution to finding a great bee necklace for summer..
