It's such a well-made product, and the flexibility makes it useful in so many situations. I also love the included filters. It's probably not bright enough to light an entire scene by itself, but more than powerful enough for portrait work and creating adjustable ambient light for photo and film. My recent shoot in Paris turned out great and this will be part an important of my kit going forward.

We have a lot of Rotolight products now including a few AEOS' as well as several NEO lights and we would be lost without them. The list of positive things I can say about these lights is endless including portability, quality of light, colour temperature adjustable and best for us, they work superbly for video as well as photography. Our biggest client noticed a huge difference in the quality of the light when we tried these on a food photography job and now insists we use these lights. They offer a much more natural light than strobes for photography.My last point would be the support. If you ever have any questions or issues, Rotolight themselves are in Pinewood in the UK and are superb at giving support. We'll be buying more and more of these lights and I have 100% confidence every time I purchase one.

When purchasing on Amazon, you are not always being supplied with the latest version of the Item... I purchased the AEOS on Amazon but it was supplied by a retailer.. When I received the item all worked fine but the on line manual and the menu on the item did not describe the same procedures.. I then wanted the AEOS to work with an Elinchrom trigger and could not find the set up on the AEOS menu.... I phoned Rotolight and explained the problems I was having.. Rotolight advised me the AEOS was at least two years old and the Old AEOS would not work with the Elinchrom trigger.. Thank god I bought through Amazon... I sent the item back ,the reseller refunded the money.. I have now purchased the AEOS directly with Rotolight and the AEOS works fine with the Elinchrom trigger.. Thank you Amazon.. It could have been a very expensive purchase..

This is an amazing product, with incredible features, great power output, light and portable. I manage to get it on sale for $1000 off, which makes it even better, however, all the accessories are so expensive. A Rotolight V-mount batterie is $250, a Honeycombe is $200, Barn Doors $170, a pack of filters $65, the Illuminator (which is the only "softbox" you can fit, because of the shape of the light) is $180 for what essentially is a fancy looking umbrella and not to mention that if you want to use the light as a flash/strobe you need a Elinchrom transmiter which is $250 and to my knowledge (I could be wrong) it only works with Rotolight and Elinchrom lights. What I'm trying to say is before you buy is to make sure it is what you want, because once you're in it, is going to cost a lot of money.

Da ich schon seit ner Weile den Neo2 im Einsatz habe und den Aeos von diversen YouTubeern kannte.Habe ich mir den Aeos auch bestellt, um ihn gerade auch wegen des Preises Mal zu testen und ich habe ihn behalten.Ja der Preis ist relativ hoch und auch wenn man einen klassischen Ersatz für einen Blitz sucht ist man hier falsch.Das kann er schlicht nicht, wenn man von der reinen Leistung ausgeht. Allerdings ist der Aeos eine flexible Lichtlösung die in vielen Fällen ein leichtes und schnelles Arbeiten ermöglicht. Insbesondere wenn man mit Spiegellos Fotografiert.

This lighting package is just okay, definitely nothing exciting. It's not a good investment even though I got it considerably cheaper than its regular retail price. Since for a much lower price there are many other lights on the market that have many more options. I own quite a few RGB panel lights, some costing as little as $30, yet they are far superior to this Rotolight kit. With an RGB light you are able to dial in color temperature as well as specific colors making it easy to match the color temperature of your setting if you are unable to control the lighting of a venue. RGB lights are also great for setting mood or creating drama in both your photos and video shots. Unfortunately these Rotolights require gels in order to adjust the lights color. The light output of these Rotolights is also not as strong as you may believe if you have watched product videos for this lighting system. I have 60 watt RGB lights that put out significantly more light than the Aeos. Also, the accessories for Rotolights are priced extremely high and for the most part are incompatible with virtually all other lighting gear from other companies, except that the Elinchrom trigger for Rotolight may also work with Elinchrom strobes. Though I am not even sure of that since I do not run Elinchrom strobes. I was at least able to purchase some lighter weight, lower priced batteries which have a higher mAh rating than the Rotolight brand batteries, but this has been the only savings. Personally, I regret purchasing this Rotolight system, though I do still use these lights just so they are not a complete waste of my money. But there are many more better alternatives which cost less, are lighter weight, have a smaller footprint, have greater light output and a longer run-time with built-in rechargeable batteries.
