A cheap brush to dramatically improve your listening experience.
I have never had a record brush before, not really knowing about them. However since I have bought it and used for less then a week, it has been a revelation. The sound due to the cleaning process is an awful lot better. Now, some of my records as a result still need a more deeper clean, that should detract that there is a good 90% improvement in reduction of those "scratch" noises after using the brush. The other 10% is just needing that fluid process which currently I cannot afford. So, does that 10% on certain albums ruin the experience? Not at all. Not using the brush prior to use? Of course! In some ways I am very surprised that Pro-Ject themselves don't bundle the brush with the turntable in the first place, as for a mere £10 at makes a big difference and will ensure your needles lasts a lot longer. So to sum up, it really is a no-brainer. Get one and clean your record prior to use. You will notice the sound quality improvement over just giving it a quick clean with a relevant cloth. A full 5 stars due to the cost and ease of use.
