I am not any good at cutting out decoupage with scissors so would the gyro-cut be ideal for that?

I found it very difficult to hold, it wasn't comfy at all then I bought some amazing adult pen grips on Amazon and now it is my favourite tool! It has made a complete difference. I have just coated my cutting mat so not really tried it with that yet but still managing to cut out tiny details easier than with my amazing fiskars scalpal.

What are the minimum and maximum diameters that it will cut.

Hi.Minimum I'd say about an inch or 1,5 cm. But it really depends on your skill. Maybe someone can cut a bit smaller, bit there will certainly be a theoretical minimum. Maximum, really there is none. You can cut away, it's really like using a pen. The smoother and thinner the material is, the easier it will be to cut. For example, cutting a normal 80-90g piece of paper is dead easy and you will have an unbelievable degree of control. Really, there's nothing like it. Forget x-act. Only a machine will more accurate. If you're try to cut a piece of think paper, it'll probably have a bit more of resistance. Also, materials like rubber or rubberized materials will not be as effective, I believe.

Is it possible to cut felt fabric with this?

The answer is no. A cutting mat, a steel/plastic ruler and a rotary cutter is what you need for felt . These are available in most patchwork and quilting shops. Sylvia Waddington
