Great collar. Love the colour

After reading the reviews I really wasn’t going to bother buying these, as the majority are negative. However, I’m very glad I did!Firstly, what a nightmare I’ve had this summer. Frontline suddenly stopped working on my three cats. None of them have ever had fleas prior, but my Abyssisan became very ill and miserable, so after a trip to the vets I found out she had FAD. I was shocked, then worked out all three of my cats had acquired fleas!!Nightmare, so I had to completely bomb my home and my cats. I spent a fortune on all amazon products. Some worked, others didn’t.I also read a lot about flea collars online, basically stating they didn’t work, bar one brand called seresto, however these are prescription only and my vet stated that no flea collars worked. I changed my cats to advantage, you can buy the same ingredient on here from Johnson’s as back up. I then put these collars on all three of my cats, along with regular use of a flea comb I also purchased off amazon.These look horrible, and I immediately removed the bells. I was sent three red ones, when I would have liked a selection of colours, but no, only red arrived. I placed them on all three cats two days after applying advantage. I left two finger spaces as directed and trimmed the excess. They do have an elasticated part for safety, but yes they look horrible, but they work!Whether they work alone I don’t know sorry, but I used in conjunction with advantage and a flea comb. None of my three cats had bad reactions, as after reading the reviews on here I anticipated that would happen, but I kept checking and none had any problems. The clasps could be better, but they haven’t come off any of my cats. I did remove them whilst bathing my cats, then once dry, I put them back on. IT SEEMEDTO WORK UNTIL HE LOST HIS COLLAR.

Not very robust. My outdoor kitten managed to rip it off and I don’t think I ever found it. They look cute though and are soft. Didn’t stay on long enough to see if it deterred fleas so can’t comment on toxicity. Kitten did not get any negative skin reaction which was good. It was odourless.

Edit: it doesn't work, made my cat drousy and she vomited a few times, I also found fleas a couple of days in and one was chilling under the collar.The colour is sent at random but it was spot on hers, let's hope the collar does the job. I don't know why it says it's odourless because I can feel quite a strong smell in the air from it. I'm a bit uneasy after reading about the active substance in it, I hope there won't be any side effects.

My cats have not been ill or anything since wearing these as some of the reviews worried me into thinking (and my cats have been caught licking them) but my cats are pretty young and healthy maybe older cats or with medical conditions could be affected. I could not smell anything from them and they were easy to put on my cats, I did them loosely just in case as I didnt want them to hurt themselves and they dont go out anyway. They have kept them on with minimal fuss over the last few weeks, 2 of my cats have took them off, 1 must have just slipped it over he head and the other took it off and it was undone, theres no safety catch but if fitted loosely cats should be ok with them if your willing to risk it, I think theyre better for indoor cats. I think they are repelling the fleas but I have still been finding the black bits (flea poop i think) on my cat most prone to them but no live fleas. You cant use a spot on or other flea treatment with this collar as it says on the packaging so I may still have to eradicate the fleas again after taking the collars off for a while then put new collars on once the fleas have defiantly been eradicated as I think these are only repelling fleas on the tops half of my cats by their collars. i got a long haired cat a just over a year ago and she caught fleas from long grass almost immediately. we've been dealing with them for nearly a year now and it's a nightmare! my two cats were absolutely riddled, despite the liquid treatments, the tablet treatments, the excessive sprays and flea bombs we've used, it's been awful! bought this collar for the long haired cat to try as a last resort and it's the only treatment so far that's resulted in no live fleas spotted in her, or during a comb through. immediately bought more for the other cat, and to replace the current one. works wonders! great for the price even though they can be unsightly and my cats have surprisingly kept them on. definitely take off the bell and cut the ends, and remember to continue treating the home! fabulous product highly recommend!

Photo says Kills Fleas and last for up to 4 months. But now they’ve changed the packaging and ingredients so it only Repels Fleas and last for 2 months. So not good. Very misleading.
