Breeze to use....and effective!
This Power Flosser is amazing. I have deliberately waited over 3 months before writing a review to see how it affects my teeth. I have Sjogren's Sydrome and collapsed gums/gingivitis and see a periodontist every 6 months and a hygienist every 3 months. I should also say I use an electric toothbrush, tepes and non alcoholic mouthwash. Before buying this product, I was managing my teeth, but little more. For 3 months I've been using the Philips Sonicare Power Flosser twice a day after I clean my teeth. Sometimes I use the mouthwash in the appliance, but mostly I just use water. I went to see the hygienist yesterday, booked in as usual for one hour, instead of the regular 30 minute appointments that most people have. This was going to be the test, as far as I was concerned.....and to my astonishment, even though I have had less trouble with teeth of late, I was not prepared for what she told me. Virtually no plaque and the deep pockets have reduced. She decreased my appointment to 30 minutes, which saved me £56! When I washed out after the professional clean, no blood! Not only does this appliance work effectively, it is a breeze to use...and it saves money! My hygienist said she was particularly impressed with the Phillips model because some of the others are not user friendly and flood your mouth with water. If you want one that is easy to use, buy this! You don't even have to stand over the sink ...you're fully mobile. It also doesn't suddenly stop working, like my toothbrush does. The light begin to blink when it needs recharging. Just an excellent product. Very highly recommended. Don't quibble at the price.

Philips Sonicare AirFloss
I think I felt my heart skip a beat when I paid for this but after reading the reviews and have my hygienist tell me all about it, I gave in eventually (it took me about 3 weeks).Yes, this is terribly expensive for what it is but YES, it works!I have really awkward teeth. They grow in funny directions in the back of my mouth and for years I have been attempting to floss daily yet growing tired of the pain and discomfort that it causes me and giving up after a week or so. My teeth are at awkward angels so floss either hurts my gums or I hurt my cheek trying to floss. This takes that issue away.I have only been using it for a few days and I cannot even begin to tell you how lovely it is to have nice clean teeth without that hassle. I get soaked nearly every time thanks to my previously mentioned awkward teeth but I can deal with a little water going everywhere (a towel and a wash cloth for wiping the mirror comes in handy) if it means I have nice clean teeth without flossing.I'm not sure what else even needs to be said? I gather from a lot of the reviews that people prefer mouthwash although I use water. I find that a good rinse with mouthwash after is very fulfilling to me so I didn't want to skip it. Water works just fine and is probably better for me since I get it *everywhere*.Most definitely worth the money, even though it pains me to admit it.If I had to pick a negative thing is that you need to be some sort of master at getting the thing to stand up in its charger without falling over. It's a little too heavy to stay standing with the power lead too curved and stiff so some creative book placement needed to be happen before I could get it to stay up!

A worthy investment for your dental health!- UPDATED
UPDATE: I have used this for more than 6 months now. I am quite happy with its performance. Use it at least once a day and must say that food sticks in between my teeth far less frequently! Safe investment.I have been using this product for the last 10 days and I must say that I am really excited about it.Packaging- appropriate but the plastic cover around the product is really tough- my advise, go straight for the scissors.Charging: Follow instructions and charge for 24 hours before first use. Has held its charge so far despite twice daily use.Hardware: simple architecture from a customer's perspective. Head fits on and comes off adequately. Chamber for water is small and is enough for 2 uses. One button for powering on and off (at the base, with LED indicator- shows battery status as well depending on colour). A separate button for activating the pulsed action. Press once for every jet and press and hold for one burst every second. Its very easy to press, so I dont use the automatic function. Charging dock is as you would expect, water proof as well. Bought a spare set of heads so my wife could use it as well. (the pack comes with only one head).Use: Apply nozzle between your teeth at the gum line, close your lips around it (unless you dont mind a little spray here and there around your sink) and activate the jet. Easy to hold and direct. Good force of jet. My gums bled only once (first use) and it was very minimal. You get the hang of it very quickly. Its an incentive to do it everyday when you start mastering the act and feel the jet of air+water gong through the teeth gaps.Effect: I dont know if this is psychological, as it has only been ten days, but I it does feel like my interdental spaces are better. Food gets stuck less frequently and even if it does, it can be more easily rinsed off with a swish of water. I think my breath smells better as well. Haven't asked the missus yet! The mouth feels cleaner after every use, although I think its partly because of the jets hitting your tissue gives you a slightly raw feeling!Verdict: I think I will be using it regularly. Its not cumbersome, holds its charge quite well, is easy to use and (maybe) it works! On retrospect, it might be useful to visit your dental hygienist once (for teeth MOT) before you start or early on, so that you have a good baseline to start with and to monitor its effectiveness. Overall, I think its a good investment for your dental health. ( I didnt feel the need to buy the latest version after doing a bit of research). PS- it is only useful if you have space between your teeth. If your teeth are inseparable friends, then you are better off with the good ol' string!

Unkomplizierte Zahnpflege

Ich werde also definitiv beim AirFloss bleiben!
