Fantastic but practice makes perfect!
I did a whole Hollywood with this wax- it’s very good- easy to use but takes practice. I’ve been waxing for years. I also go to salons to get waxed. Tried this to save money- so impressed!!! Two things to remember- spreading a thin amount is not easy to peel back off so you need to get the spread right and that will come with practice. Also it’s sticky so the temperature has to be a bit hot as it begins to cool fast! I didn’t find it painful. Also it works so well on coarse Asian hair they only give three wipes for after care which is not enough. It can be tricky to remove if tiny bits are left on, but I found a bit of baby oil helped. I would highly recommend this for anyone who feels confident to wax themselves.

Persevere!
The reviews on this product seem to fall into 2 categories, those who are new to it (and mostly hate it) and those who have used it for a long time (and love it)I have used it for 18 months now and I wouldn't use anything else. That doesn't mean my first time was easy, but for once I learned from my mistakes! The wise guidance given on other reviews should be followed. Namely, IGNORE the instructions.A full pot does take about 4 mins in the microwave but you should check it often (I've melted a pot before now!). Make sure you stir it, to even out heat distribution, and always test on a non sensitive area first. And "Yes!" expect to reheat it a few times. Remarkably, wax sets unless you keep it warm! A full wax now takes between 1 or 2 reheats, but it used to take me 4 or 5 when I first started using it.If this is your first time using wax yourself then start small until you get a feel for it. The spatula is great for applying the wax, although the thin one in the pack is next to useless. Having applied a small area of wax you must wait until it has only just set before ripping it away (you can test by carefully tapping the applied wax). It is a good idea to 'roll up' a small edge of the wax whilst it is still soft, to give you a point to hold onto when you pull. If you leave the wax to set for too long it will break as you pull, which is irritating and more uncomfortable. Once you know what you are doing you can make the sections you wax larger.Overall hair removal is excellent. The whole process is much easier if you have a willing helper, but failing that invest in a good mirror, bright light and yoga lessons! A few sheets of kitchen roll on a towel are a wise precaution as you tend to be a bit messy when you first use it.The wax itself smells lovely and causes no irritation to my skin (nor to my other half, who has stoically braved a wax!). There are just enough 'after wax' wipes for the size of the pot and they are very effective at removing small wax residue and calming the skin. Any redness I have experienced has always died down in under 24 hours. If you find you dont have enough wipes then some baby oil on a kitchen towel works very well.As for the various 'stick on' shape templates.......well they are pretty useless. They don't stay on as you wax, so my advice would be to use them as a template and draw round them with a felt tip pen (even permanent marker gets removed with the enclosed after wipes). It really is much easier and is also a great tip if you want to create your own design as it allows you to check before you start waxing.Overall, it's great, but does require patience. I just wish they hadn't removed the lid from the wax pot. At least when it had one I could confidently carry the wax from the microwave to upstairs. Clearly they think we should all wax our bits in our kitchens! And always remember.....NEVER leave the application stick in the wax when you've finished. You can't get it out and it burns if you try to microwave it in the pot!

Don't let the bad reviews put you off
All the bad reviews are coming from inexperienced people and this could happen if they have used any other wax.The wax is great, smells good and yes it will get colder quite fast because it's not a big container so the heat will dissipate faster. Also it's normal to leave some small bits of wax but there many brands on amazon for wax removers that will also hydrate your skin after the waxing.I'm an inexperienced user and I loved this. It's getting easier to use and I'm learning some tricks every time I use it.

NOT SAFE TO USE, dangerous product
I've done waxing myself many times with other brands. Even Brazilian and Hollywood. I never had a problem.Since I use this brand for other body areas I decided to give it a try. First attempt with armpits was fine. But tonight I was freaking out as I never did before. I tried to do a Brazilian waxing. The wax was so hard that when I tried to remove it I felt like my skin would have been ripped with the strap. It was too stick and hard on the skin.I did both low sides of the areas thinking that while I was applying the second side the other one would have cooled down.I couldn't remove the wax as normal stripping it because it was extremely sticked on the skin as a super glue and the skin in that area it is very tender. When I tried to remove it with hot water under the skin it wasn't coming away as well. I had to take a lot of oil and hot water. Trying to remove it I have hurt myself. I've been crying and I've thought to call 111. In the end with a lot of oil and many hair trated away and the area swollen i managed to end the nightmare.Don't buy it. It's dangerous.Don't

Ok
Very messy but I do think with more practise that would get better other than that easy to use. The reason for only 3 stars has more to do with the fact that not all hair was getting removed so didn't look great after and to be fair that is why I purchased this product.

Best DIY wax
Very easy to use. Heat gradually, rather than all at once. Works perfectly to remove all desired hair. Somehow hurts less too! Thoroughly recommend this and I will be buying again!
