School Work
I bought this for my granddaughter who is learning about the Tudors at school. I often saw her using it to do some work for school. She had found it interesting and useful and easy to read.

Lots of great information
My year 5 daughter (10) loves the Eyewitness series because there is so much information on the topic. Her class was studying the Tudors and she read the book several times.

Brilliantly illustrated, and very educational
Our Tudor obsessed grandaughter just loves this book, both the sections on the kings and queens, and the ones about the lives of the ordinary people. After an evening with the book, she was driving her poor mum mad with Tudor facts and figures! Her historian Grandad is, on the other hand, delighted to have conversations and debates about her favourite dynasty, and is a great enouragement to her, with this, and some of his books. The book is a great introduction, as are all DK books, for inquiring young minds, and I think both my historians would heartily recommend it!

Good and very well illustrated content
Slightly too advanced for her age, but she enjoyed the pictures and will grow into it!

Rounded and appealing guide to the Tudors for Children.
I bought this for my 8 years nephew's project on the Tudors and it effectively covered every topic he was given to study. Effectively, the most practical of all history books that I have bought him to assist with his school work .I found the text to be very clear and the illustrations enhanced with photos of people in period costume to be particularly appealing. The only disappointment was the limited information about Shakespeare but he is covered in his own volume as it wholly appropriate. Personally, I find this early-modern period of history to be of little interest because I am more interested in the period up to the end of the Middle Ages. There are perhaps too many books on the Tudor when medieval history or late antiquity , for example, remain little appreciated. However, I felt that this was an excellent introduction to the 16th century in Britain and could not fault it as a rounded guide to this era for kids. I felt that the whole look of this book will grab the attention of the curious.

Purchased for my daughter who was 9 at the time and really enjoyed the tutors as a topic at school. She loved the book and it came with a huge Henry the eighth poster - nice if u like that sort of thing....which she does.

Very useful for primary school work
I like these books as they are brilliantly illustrated and have a lot of different facts as well as the main historical information. My daughter is studying the Tudors in year 3 primary and it has been very useful to use to supplement our research on this topic. I am sure it made homeschooling more interesting.
