I wouldn't normally have reviewed an advent calendar (what can you say?!) but having read the reviews before purchase I wanted to add my two penny's worth! I am so pleased with my choice. It's a generous size, brightly coloured and shows the traditional story of Christmas in a bold, attractive way... exactly what I wanted for my two year old's first advent calendar. I would NOT say it is flimsy, and I don't need a hanging hook (blu tack anyone?) - it is a great design and feels really nice quality. And I have no doubt all the correct dates are hiding behind those windows. Thank you Alison Gardiner for a great calendar.

Excellent quality Every day the doors were opened they told a little bit of the Christmas story. A little picture depicting the story. The only thing and the reason why I put 4 Stars is the ending wasn’t factually correct and the doors were a little bit difficult to open

Calender looks amazing and adds up to what I wanted. Full marks. HOWEVER! The Amazon delivery guy folded it up to get it through the letter box!!! I can't send it back as I'm giving it as a present this week. Make sure you write "Don't Fold to get through letter box" in the delivery notes, if you order this item.

Loved this calendar. I hunted for a traditional card calendar with equally traditional picture which depicted the true story of Christmas and this was beautiful. It had the added bonus of having a bit of the story written on the back of each door. So the whole story was told by Christmas. Just thought it was a couple of pounds too expensive. But we thoroughly enjoyed the calendar!

Looks even better when arrived than online. Really pleased for this, for my mother in her nineties as I think it will help her remember the days in December and she'll love opening the doors. Wanted a traditional one with the story inside as she'll remember and relate to this. Perfect.

Lovely advent calendar! Really pleased that it's a bit bigger than expected, means the kids can really see and enjoy this lovely calendar.Haven't opened up any door yet but looking forward to reading them and teaching my kids the real reason we celebrate Christmas. Very pleased

It took me a long time to find two traditional chocolate/ toy free Advent calendars for my twin granddaughters age 4 so I was pleased when I came across this one. It is a clear & colourful picture & especially lovely to have Christmas story printed on inside of window as well as the usual little pictures. Both girls loved it- one had this one and the other had Alison Gardiner’s Christmas Village- equally loved ,
