I ordered this since our previous set was lost when we moved. That being said, this set is excellent, in my opinion. The wood block stands out, but the knives are even better. I like that they're stainless steel to the handle. When you consider the cost and what you get, this is an excellent value. I'm pleased with it and recommend it.

For a moderately priced knife set, this is as good as you’re going to get! The knives are so sleek and sharp, there’s a variety of different types and the scissors work great. It looks amazing on my counter. I’m not into namebrand knives, and I don’t know much about them, as long as they work! My previous, I’ve had a built-in sharpener, this one is removable, and it’s actually pretty nice, it really works and makes the knife sharper. I like the external sharpener better instead of reaching over the counter to sharpen a knife. This is a great value and you won’t be disappointed.

These knifes are great. I have had the same cheap set for 10 years now and didn't realize how much I truly needed new knifes. While looking for knifes these came ahead for several reasons. They are all one piece which is great so the handles don't fall off after a while. They also are stainless steel which is great. They are very sharp and I have had to get use to cutting with actually sharp knifes again. Also the wood block that is included, has a very nice look to it, and is solid feeling. It looks great in the corner of my kitchen counter. I have limited drawer space to it nice to have something on the counter that is stylish. The scissors work great as well, it is always nice to have a dedicated pair of kitchen scissors that cut through almost anything.

First and foremost I would like to say that this might be the sharpest knife set I have ever purchased or received!Everything is steel.... everything!These knives are tough, but they can be sharpened easily using the included Chef sharpener or a porcelain/diamond rod system by Lansky.Additionally you can sharpen it using whetstones which are available here on Amazon.One of the things to remember when sharpening knives like this is you're going to want to go from a 9° angle to an 11° angle at most, because everything comes at 10° initially.The ergonomics of the handle of perfect, storage block is pretty impressive.At this price it's pretty much a no-brainer!
