These are not suitable for vegetarians if they do in fact contain beef gelatine ?

If you are a Vegan or a strict vegetarian I guess you would be worried about eating meat based gelatine. The fact is, unfortunately, that animal based produce is in much of processed food. I'm mostly a vegetarian, but still happily eat these sweets since they are one of my favourite sweets since childhood!

Chewy, last for ages if you can resist chewing. Best licorice sweets in my opinion.

When you buy sweets in a sweet shop you have no idea how long they have been sitting there. This box as a best before of October 2026 on it, so I have 10 months work my way through 2kgs! That is a lot lol. I have put them in an airtight box, decanted a batch into a screwtop jar. Favourite (only sweets I eat) sweets, and hubby, he loves them too. Licorice is not just tasty, but I find it soothing on my throat too. 250g cost £2.50 in the shop... so these were a tad cheaper.
