28573 Caravan Leisure Battery Box, 110Amp, Black

I tend to over think things. In spite of measuring the battery I was worried it would be to small. In fact my battery fits with space to spare.Excellent product. Would recommend this item.

The strap retaining the box to the floor has only 4 self tapping screws holding it to the floor.I don't know if it would hold the weight in the event of an accident.

I like this case. Big enough for my 12v 110ah battery and plenty of space for cables and a charger controller. The only downside that I can see (this is due to me storing the battery outside in the open) is the large vents on the lid which would allow water into the box. However, I overcame this wee problem with some good old fashioned duck tape. I would buy again

The box itself is sturdy enough and the movable divider makes a great place to mount relays and fuses for my self contained trailer electrical system. The strap seems nice and strong and when you figure out the correct routing through the buckle it tightens up well and holds the tension. The main reason I've marked it down is that a strange design oddity in the lid reduces the internal size dramatically. The maximum height battery you can fit in this box without modification is 220mm because the lid has mouldings that restrict the width above that height to about 100mm. To fit a Numax 110AH battery I had to cut out sections of the lid - had the dimensions been a bit more forthcoming in the description I'd have bought a different box.

The securing plates make it easy to secure my battery inside this longer box.

Sturdy piece of kit though the top cover does not sit properly once my 75ah Leisure Battery was placed inside. Found it necessary to place a large stone on top to keep the lid on but I guess a bungee clip or similar would do fine if stored inside rather than outside in a field. Lets a little water in through the air vent slits on the top of the lid but nothing to cause any problem. I'm using this outside for my electric fencing.

Bin weder Segler, noch Camper. Betreibe eine Verbraucherbatterie 12 V, 100 AH für Notfallzwecke in Verbindung mit einem Wechselrichter. Die Batterie passt perfekt in die Box. Mit zwei Holzleisten im Boden steht die Batterie so hoch in der Box, dass ich ungehindert an die Pole zum Anschließen komme. Trotzdem passt der Deckel noch drauf. Die Box macht einen stabilen Eindruck, für meine Zwecke perfekt.

Vor dem Kauf unbedingt die Innenmaße mit den Batterie-Aussenmaßen vergleichen, damit ale beide zusammen passen.

Genau das was wir gesucht haben. Wer hier die Abmessungen bemängelt kann nicht messen! Ein entsprechender Akku passt haargenau hinein.
