This offers excellent support for ankle and lower leg. I love that you can choose how tight you make it. It lasts for a long time without it losing it's elasticity. It's worth the money.

I bought this for returning to martial arts after rupturing my achilles. When I first got it out it took a while for me to figure out the best way to fit it, on as to me at least the little instruction schematic is not brilliantly clear. However once I'd figured that it felt extremely comfortable on. It definitely supports the ankle and restricts the movement at little too well, so I would recommend doing stretches with it off and once the ankle is suitably warmed up put the strap on.I have only used it a few times so far but like I say it does the job, however your ankle does get very sweaty, but most supports do this. If your wearing it for long period, I wore it for a five hour training session the first time I wore it, I'd loosen or take it off when not working to allow the skin some air. For martial artists who work bare feet I have to say so far I haven't had any problems with slipping on mats/the floor as can sometimes happened with the ankle supports.

I purchased one of these last week to aid the recovery of my damaged ligaments in my ankle. It fully supports my ankle which feels extremely unstable when I put my weight on it. This has allowed me to undertake my normal day to day activities and even take a short walk with my dog. It is comfortable and relatively easy to use. I would however advise that people purchase a pair of shoes larger than normal as it is quite chunky. I have today ordered a second one.

The support given by this product is excellent and the tightness can be adjusted as required.The neoprene fabric is thick, strong and warm. The elasticated strap is strong and stretches to provide good support and compression if needed.But - the foot section is open underneath and if you have narrow feet it overlaps under the arch of your foot. As the neoprene is thick, this isn't comfortable for walking on.Also once I had the elastic strap wrapped around reasonably firmly, the end of it was also under my foot.The combined thickness made it almost impossible to walk properly and would have made my ankle worse.However, I'm a size 7 and have narrow feet so this wouldn't be a problem for everyone.The combined thickness of the neoprene and the strap around both foot and ankle would make wearing shoes difficult.Overall : This product would be excellent for indoor use during the initial stages of an injury when support and compression are needed. But not suitable for use with shoes or for people with small or narrow feet.

Wow, I wish I'd got this earlier.Having been in agony for 8 days I ordered this as I had 'Bone Fusion', a severely sprained ankle and fluid on the ankle and foot. What a difference it made.It supported my ankle and foot really well to the point of being able to sensibly walk unaided around the house. Of course it's no good for going out, you cant put footwear over it, it's too bulky. You'd be lucky to get a large sock over it... but let's face it, nothing is going to give you the level of support you need for a bad injury without having some bulk to it. It is what it is, a damn good support. It helped me actually get some sleep and at least get more mobile... and yes even eased the pain.What I would say to the reviewers who said it was too small is that I tried to put it on my foot and thought 'No way!', but I went back to it and found if you make sure the velcro fastenings are undone (it's not obvious that the bit that goes on the front of your ankle has a velcro fastening, but it does) and you pull the support up as far as you can on the top of your ankle before pulling the bottom part up around your ankle, it goes over ok. It has to be relatively tight for it to give you support, but it gives quite well, especially if you give it a couple of stretches before you put it on.On the strength of this product I have just ordered the support sock by the same company for when I am up to getting out and about, I'll be able to put a sock and footwear over that. I hope it's as good a product.

Gives very firm support and very easy to put on. You can adjust how tight you want it with the velcro straps. My hands are not very strong but I managed it. Because these supports are so thick you need to wear them with wide shoes. Most of my shoes felt a bit too tight with them, so I managed to wear them with my ankle boots. These ankle supports do give very firm support and I felt much more confident walking out outside. It helped my balance and I didn't feel so 'wavery'. I wore them when gardening and mowing the lawn. Like all garments that give support I was glad to take them off! They do conserve the heat, so after walking outside in the sun they were a bit sweaty, but that should not surprise in the circumstances. I feel much more confident when wearing them and my balance seems better. I will probably need to buy some wide shoes if I were to wear them more often, but if like me weak ankles and unsteadiness are a general feature of your life then it's a worthwhile investment. These ankles support really do give excellent support.. I have not washed them yet, but they should dry overnight. They are a nice shade of blue and all the velcro straps are very easy to adjust to get it just right for you. With ordinary sheer tights you might look a bit of a frump but black lycra tights will hide them well. What is most importance to me as I have walking difficulties is safety. I am much safer with these ankles on than off and it means I can walk outside with more assured confidence. Would highly recommend.
