The best of the best
I bought a Epiphone Explorer which was about 12.5lbs, heavy for a guitar. After hours of stand up practice with the old hippie jacquard strap I felt as if my ribs were separating and shoulder was dislocating. Something had to be done, I did the research and found folks were saying very good things about the Iconic Leathers 3.25" Wide Lightly Distressed Dark Brown Dual Padded Leather Guitar strap. So I went for it, wow what a difference. It had a softness and choosiness but was super well made and super heavy duty, as well, the weight displacement and the balance was very much improved. That was 2017 and it served me well until 2022, sadly, I left that particular strap in a hotel room while on the road. I promptly ordered a new one in distressed brown and a spare in black. I have since gifted the Epi Explorer to my drummer's son that plays percussion for the band. I had planed to include the black Iconic strap with the gift guitar as he had a 2 inch nylon strap at the time and I was thinking that it would cut in to his shoulder badly with that heavy Explorer. Then at the last minute I decided to keep the spare, poor kid, really he was pretty happy with the Epiphone. In life we make the odd random purchase not knowing how its going to work out in time. For me this strap was one of the best purchases' I have ever made and I love the fact that i have the extra black strap in case I miss place brownie. It's funny, in between leaving the original and getting the new ones there were a couple of gigs that I strapped up with a belt, some twin, and a few zip ties. It was not the greatest look. Also, if you are a bassist or have an older Les Paul or if your just looking for that next level of comfort while working definitely look into one or more of these.

Great strap but you'll probably want to distress it yourself.
Strap is comfortable bearing the weight of a very heavy Les Paul, and feels rugged and sturdy enough to not worry about it breaking. The leather is soft and well conditioned, the stitching is precise and looks pretty perfect. It's definitely a well made product. I'm sure it looks great with most guitars, but I know for certain it looks nice with both a dark mahogany finish, and a natural finish on spalted maple. The distressing is very light, but given that overdoing it can damage the integrity of the leather, I consider this a Pro, not a Con.To further distress it to my liking I used alcohol and a boar bristle brush to dry it out slightly and just barely rough it up. Once the alcohol evaporated I kneaded the strap through my hands to transfer some oils. Then I gave it to my son to play with for a few hours and it came back banged up real nice.I'll keep the brand in mind the next purchase I make, so I certainly recommend this guitar strap.

Nice strap - Comfortable
I play 6 string bass guitars that weigh about 10lbs on average. This is the best strap for those instruments.

Lasted a while, great look.
I was looking at Levy's straps initially but the distressed look of this one caught my eye and it was about $15 cheaper (at the time) so I pulled the trigger. It's been just over 5 years now and the padded side of the strap is now disintegrating and falling apart. 5 years of 2-3 times per week of consistent use with 25 or so actual gigs sprinkled in. Did I get my money's worth? I think so.

Very nice but was not as distressed as the one in the photo
I really like this strap but mine didn’t have the same “distressed “ look of the one in the photo, which is what made me decide to order it. Quite a disappointment. I considered sending it back but didn’t. I’m not a fan of distressed guitars, but this strap looked cool. It really feels good on my shoulder. Doesn’t slip and certainly doesn’t cut into my skin. It’s also very classy and looks more expensive than it is (although the price is a little high for me). I’m a guitar collector and have straps on all of them. Previous to this, my “go to” strap was the one made in Liverpool called the “ UK Made Brown Vintage Extra Wide Soft........” strap listed on Amazon. But this new one feels better and worth the extra $15 or so. Gonna have to decide between the two when I get my next guitar and it’s not going to be an easy decision.
