Zipper Repair Kit | Wenko | 22 Peices

What a handy little pack. I find it hard to throw anything away and when the slider broke on a funky jacket I'd given my eldest daughter after she'd only worn it a couple of times I put the garment away in the hope I'd find a cheap solution. Fast-forward about 11 years and the jacket no longer fits her, but it does fit her younger sister who loves it, hence my reason for buying this pack of zipper repair bits and bobs. Within an hour of receiving it I have a happy girl walking around zipped up inside a funky jacket, I've mended the zipper on my favourite bag, AND I'm wearing a pair of jeans I'd put away a couple of years ago for upcycling into a rag rug because the zip had gone (not to mention that I'm happy I can still fit in them two years later and just after Christmas!). And I still have lots left for future repairs. This little pack has already more than paid for itself. My daughter doesn't care that the slider on her jacket is white instead of orange, and it looks fine. The silver stopper on my bag is barely noticeable despite being silver on a black zip, and the contents of my bag are much likely to stay inside now it's not gaping wide open. And if anyone notices the unusual silver stopper on the zip of my jeans they're far too close and will quickly care more about the swift knee in the chin they're going to get. Of the three garments I have mended with this pack, one had a plastic zipper and the other two were metal so I can confirm that the pack is suitable for both.

I was unable to find a zip pull among these which was the right size for a jacket I was hoping to repair with it, and I don't think the size of zip was at all unusual, so I'm afraid it's a bit pot luck. You might be able to find the right one but you might not, and it's hard to tell from the picture.

Umm not very well made

The slider on the zip for my waterproof golf trousers had snapped. This kit enabled me to repair it very quickly and easily as fortunately one of the 4 different sized sliders in the kit was the right size. I would have given the kit 5 stars if there had been instructions in the pack or on-line as initially I thought the small metal pieces were somehow meant to fit in the slider until I realised they were replacement top and bottom stop ends to crimp on to the zipper. A larger size would also be good in case I needed to repair the larger zip on a kit bag.Prompt delivery so did the job for me.

I hoped these would mend a jacket zip and that was a success...then remembered the hold-all bag that had a burst zip, the larger item did the trick. Very pleased.Would be unfair to comment on sturdiness as that would take time to assess

You get what you paid for, great idea to repair a zip by replacing the zipper. Sadly it didn’t work for me. I tried to use it to replace a zippier on a jacket, it broke, tried again, the same. Maybe if it was made durable
