Yes, the kit comes with a hex headed wrench and the base plate, all in a small cloth bag with the company logo on.

Would this hold the weight of a canon 80d?

Yes, but it’s fairly narrow, so although it will secure and hold the camera and what ever lens you have on it, the strap may become uncomfortable on the neck due to the weight, something that’s not really an issue with mirrorless cameras.

Does this come in retail packaging? Mine turned up in a bag!
