Takes up to much battery and doesn't make to much of a difference to justify buying it

This microphone is a great upgrade from a built-in microphone on a DSLR - particularly at the price, which is extremely low considering what you get.It's not without its flaws, hence a 4* not 5* review. The sound is a little lacking in bass (nothing that can't be fixed with a quick EQ curve). It also protrudes about an inch and a half behind the camera, meaning that you can't use the camera's viewfinder while the microphone is attached. It looks like there's another hole that could be used to move the mount, though, which I will try using.As some others have mentioned, my microphone did not come with a battery in the box, even though there's a space for one.

I use an old Canon EOS 600D and needed a cheap shotgun mic to use for the camera. This is a great mic for the price. It does pick up a little bit of background fuzzy noise but it is fine as longer as the subject is reletively close to the mic. Definately would reccomend for anyone on a budget

Good value and fine results for most situations. With some post-production EQ'ing can sound similar to much more expensive microphones. Very happy.

Mic arrived today so haven't used it yet, but there isn't a battery included. I wondered what the empty space was for so watched a youtube box opening and sure enough there was supposed to be a battery included. I will write another review when I've tried the product.

Outstanding mic for the price , I use on my 750D and works well, only complaint was it was assembled with the foot 90 degrees on. Had to adjust.

Would have preferred the Rode Mic. But for the price, it is decent enough

Have ran a few tests on it and it seems to work as described. Good value for money.
