Easy to use, effective and good value.
Since buying my first small bottle of Goo-Gone, I've found plenty of uses for it, hence buying this larger packaging. It works out very good value this way and, while I've read this is for more 'heavy-duty' jobs, I've not found it any more powerful when used on the smaller jobs I tend to use it for.If you've got a use for Goo-Gone (Great for clearing sticker residue of anything, cleaning waterproof slates - A common use for me, removing unwanted text from watch dials, signs, etc), then buying it in the large quantities makes it great value.

Get's the job done!
During lifting of adhesive laminate strips in the WC, a heavy, highly adhesive residue was left behind on the concrete floor which needed removing before the laying of a more robust flooring option.Having read reviews online I made the choice to try Goo Gone.To apply the Goo Gone solution to the floor I decanted the bottle into a spray bottle and applied it as a fine mist so as to not saturate the floor and make the bottle go as far as possible. What I found of benefit was to let the solution soak in for a good +30mins (the residual adhesive was very strong and required this time to shift it) and, using a 3in. scraper, the adhesive came up with very little effort. It congealed into a jelly-like substance which made its removal easy and efficient. The bottle does state 'no harsh odours' and whilst I agree with this, the smell was slightly paraffin-esqué but with a citrus hint to it. But this wasn't long-lasting, particularly once the concrete substrate was washed with warm soapy water to remove any of the solution that remained.Perhaps a bit pricy for the volume you receive, but it gets the job done!

Fantastic glue remover
We used it to remove the glue beneath carpet tiles. The glue was stuck to the underlying floor tiles rather than concrete. You'll need gloves a wide scraper, two decent spray bottles, the fantastic goo gone, some white spirit or similar and plenty of cheap kitchen roll or dry rags. Use a spray bottle to spray the goo gone all over a good sized section of the glue, you'll only need a mist. Leave it to do its thing for a few minutes, we left it for about half an hour initially. Use the scraper (make sure you've got the gloves on) to remove the glue, it becomes jellified, have a bag handy to throw these bits into. If required, give the area another light spray and repeat. Now use the other spray bottle to spray on some white spirit (make sure you protect your eyes at all times) use dry rags or kitchen roll to clean the last of the glue off, don't use water at this stage, once you've removed as much as you can, give the area a good mop with hot water and a decent washing up liquid, you'll need to go over it several times. Hope this helps someone

Didn’t have any effect at all
Tried this on solid wood floor adhesive that had only been down a week to remove it again and didn’t work at all. Did not appear to even soften adhesive.I thought would be a lot more effective given its price for such a small quantity.Disappointing.

Life saver
Ihad the type of sticky floor that i actually walked out of my shoes , from adhesive vinyl tiles. Tried wd40 and i would say it loosened a tiny bit but stank. Bought this and its amazing , smells like citrus petrol but not bad , really does make it wipe off ! Didn't even need the scraper.

Great for tree sap
I have pine trees all around my house and every year the tree sap falls onto my cars. This is the only product that I have found that totally removes the sap very easily and doesn’t affect the paint. The product is very inexpensive and lasts a long time.

GooGone produit nettoyant multi-usage
J’ai connu ce produit aux US. Il décolle et détache de nombreuses choses. Je suis bien content qu’il soit enfin disponible en ligne.

Slow, hard work, mixed results
Bought this to remove glue residue from signwriting on my van. Signs were vinyl, mix of different products. Where the vinyl was single layer, using a heat gun, very little residue was left and it came off eadily, after allowing soaking time.Much of the writing was large printed stickers, over a meter long. These were multilayered and badly affected by sun. In many places the glue refused to let go and just the vinyl came off, leaving a thick grey glue layer. Only way I could get this off was to heat to the point the glue was soft enough to scrape with a plastic scraper, hoping I wasn't going to wreck the paint, scrape down to as thin a layer as I could. Then use an abrasive foam pad soaked in this to scrip with hard pressure. Doesn't seem to have damaged to paint, which was badly oxidised already. One odd point... Instructions say to wear gloves if you have sensitive skin. Tried that with nitrile, then latex. Eats them quite quickly. Then I noticed that where it got to the door seals, lots of black rubber came off. Might have to replace the seals. Yes the instructions fo say don't buse on rubber. But... What about gloves? They're joking, right? So works but struggles with the tough stuff.
