This is one of those bits of kit you don’t know you need. Trust me, you do!Mine lives in the kitchen and is used to slice cardboard, open packets, slit sellotape and so much more. In fact it has become an invaluable tool that I wouldn’t want to be without.Best of all, it’s much safer to use than a box cutter and package contents are unlikely to be damaged by accident. I have been using mine for months and it is still as good as new. Doesn’t need sharpening and tough as old boots.You may have noticed that I’m a fan, I’ve even purchased one for my son who is as pleased as me.

Nice and sharp and makes short work of opening or cutting up boxes. A pointy end would be useful but this is probably safer.

My husband is constantly using inappropriate knives to break down boxes in our house so that they will fit into our recycling bin. We must say, we are both fairly impressed with the product. It is sharp enough to open boxes, but doesn't worry me that he is going to put it through his hand at any moment. It is a surprisingly easy to use design that is quite efficient at cutting boxes down. Overall, good value for money and for my sanity!

Not much more effective at cutting cardboard than the Westcott ceramic blade cutter at less than half the sale price of this Canary cutter. Unless you are impressed by Japanese fairy dust, I don't see any particular reason to pay double and get this cutter.
