Can this be used as a treatment, not just as a preventative for diaper rash?

Yes, our Diaper Lotion Potion Spray can be used as a treatment in a pinch, but it's meant more as a healthy bottom maintenance type product. If you catch the rash early enough, a couple of spritzes and allowing baby's bottom to air dry as much as possible should do the trick. For more serious rashes, we'd much prefer you use our Baby's Bottom Butter Diaper Ointment. This particular product is formulated specifically to effectively treat diaper rash and for most, it produces amazing results within just a few hours. Does it burn or sting a rashed bottom

Our Diaper Lotion Potion Spray contains no alcohol or other chemicals that might produce a stinging sensation on unbroken skin. If the diaper rash is quite severe, just about any liquid may produce a stinging sensation (even just plain water). In cases of severe diaper rash, I would recommend switching to a diaper ointment (like our Baby's Bottom Butter, which you can find here: http://shop.moondancesoaps.com/babys-bottom-butter-p32.aspxThank you for taking the time to contact us with your question. Is this safe to use with cloth diapers or will it adversely affect their absorbency?

Great question! I believe it is safe with cloth diapers. I used a diaper service and the only item they did not recommend is zinc oxide diaper cream. This does not contain any zinc oxide. It is a spray, and I wiped it off, although there may be a residue. I did not notice any decreased absorbency.

Do you have more info on the concentration and quality of the essential oils used?
