Lift Leveling Kit

Good lift fit my 03 explorer but you need to trim the knuckle of the strut to make it skinny otherwise you can't push the lower control arm down to put in the lower strut bolt also side note if you're explorer is rusty the front left lower strut bolt will be sized so much a impact or breaker bar won't do anything you will need to cut the bolt and the strut a sawzall will work with good metal cutting blades but it's a extra step you will want to prepare for before taking apart your car

The MaxpeedingRods 3" lift kit for the Explorer is definitely great quality for the price. Everything feels sturdy and well-built, and the lift looks awesome once installed. That said, I later found out that many recommend upgrading the upper control arms (UCA) with a lift this size. Without it, the ball joints can sit at an awkward angle, and getting proper alignment can be a challenge. That part was disappointing, especially after already spending a good amount on the kit. Overall, great product, just do your homework and budget for upgraded UCAs if you want a worry-free setup.

Installation went well, jumped a median at 70 while texting, lift stayed intact and drove home fine. Would recommend.

Product seems well made , sadly it does not fit my explorer so I will have to return

When installing the kit it forces you to reverse the strut (i.e. connection point on truck has two bolt holes towards the rear and one bolt hole towards the front). When you reverse the strut on the top - two bolts are now in front since the lift assembly forces the reversal of the strut - it won't fit into the control arm any longer. When the strut is installed correctly the bottom connection point sticks out of the strut further towards the rear. When you reverse the strut that longer bolt hole/tube is now facing forward and won't go into the space allowed on the control arm. Real disappointment.

Installed these and they definitely gave me a decent lift but the ride quality suffered a fair bit and now I sway more at highway speeds. Install was easy though and there made of what seems to be a pretty solid steel so i cant imagine there's issues with durability. Overall though would not recommend unless you just really want a small lift.

So I’ve been wanting to lift an 05 Ford Explorer that I own. Unfortunately, the only kind of lift kit that’s made for these vehicles are spacers like this. So obviously when I came across it, I knew I had to give it a shot. They’re made of a very good quality material. Most importantly they fit perfect. The whole process was pretty simple. The whole car done in a couple of hours. It’s been about two months and I have not had one problem. In fact, I have the extra clearance that I need since I put bigger tires on the car.
