PREMIER SEEDS DIRECT - Dahlia - UNWINS Dwarf Mix - 300 Finest Seeds

Planted out some of these few years ago had some Dahlias come up every year in the same spot. So surprised. Going to do some more to see if can get some more long lasting ones!

Planted in greenhouse 14 days ago and coming up nicely .

These did very well after planting, came up quickly, they grow well and look healthy. They seem to be larger than I expected, not sure why they were called *dwarf mix*, they all appear to be around 40 cm or higher. I had thought they would be shorter than that, but perhaps this is the size they are supposed to be? Otherwise they look great.

Can not say if they are 5* because they haven't grown yet 😄 the did arrive on time so thats a positive.

Seeds have not germinated at all. At the same time I sowed some dahlia seeds I had saved from last year and there is good germination of them. On each occasion I soaked the seeds in water for one day.The seeds were not expensive but I am disappointed that the seeds are still dormant after this time.Each year I sow seeds from selected dahlias I grow and have had good results. It is always interesting to see how close the flower colour is to the parent plant. I sometimes get cross pollination produced by the bees which gives some interesting results.Eric Burleton
