ZoomL12/UK LiveTrak - Live Sound Plus Recording

This is a terrific desk. I'd have preferred a proper metal case rather than plastic, but it's still fairly durable if treated with care. I'd also have preferred a mains cable directly into the desk rather than a separate power brick, but again, this is being slightly picky.The sound from the desk is great (it's replaced a Behringer 16 track desk) and the recordings from live gigs have been very good (if informative of the odd duff guitar chord....).Having 5 separate monitor mixes is useful, although my band only really needs two or three. It's very easy to manage channel EQ settings, and the lights indicating current setting positions are very clear on a dark stage.The only issue I had was the switch on the back which sets the recording format (44.1/48/96) is easily moved. When set to 96, the recordings do not play back on the L12 itself - they need to be exported to a PC. The other settings will replay directly on the L12 (via speakers, obviously....)If 8 mike and 2 stereo line channels is enough for you, it's a bargain. Otherwise take a look at the L20.

The versatility of this unit and the sound quality on playback is amazing then you take your sd card and have a live studio quality playback with the added bonus of 5 separate mixing for moniter playback best value for money ive got on a live recorder and its portable must have for gigging bands

Beautiful sound I just can't get it to record through my Daw it's got me working more than I should be with absolutely no results, it's so sad that I might have to send it back, was so happy when I first got it looks and sounds amazing, but don't work in the studio like they said,problem with L-12 drivers, cubase doesn't recognise them, you pay all that money you'd expected it to work,Of course I will persevere a bit longer

Great little desk for the money. Main feature for me is the ability to have 5 separate headphone monitor mixes which thanks to a firmware update can now also have varying levels of reverb on each. The multifunction buttons take a while to get used to but it does look and feel well built. Sometimes miss that analogue warms especially on my vocal when playing a jazz/blues set but can live with that for the other useful features and size.

I have used lots of high end mixers over the years and would have no hesitation in calling this the best mixer I've ever used, the recording function is very handy and quite easy to use, the sound quality is excellent, eq is very effective, effects are not bad, it's an all round great piece of kit

This is a great featured mixer with effects recording and use as an audio interface. All of which it does really well. The only drawback is the robustness of the dials. It's not as sturdy as it could be. It is fine for a desk or project studio but wouldn't take this "on the road". However for the price is an excellent all rounder.

Have had several micro digital recorders in the past, but I wanted something which wouldn't keep falling off the table, and this is sturdy - it's more like 'old school' hardware with faders & so forth. You can also plug musical instruments and xlr mics to it, and the cables won't drag the unit about, because it is stable. You can hook it up to a computer or use it as a 'stand-alone' unit, and you can double and multiple-track; just remember not to have the sample rate switch on the back of the unit set at 96KHz, because this will disable overdubbing.

Il mixer è molto bello, la latenza da me registrata è assolutamente accettabile (intorno ai 14ms, con vari vst accesi su un MacBook Pro della prima metà del 2017). Il problema è che dal sito del costruttore sembrava potesse fare routing delle tracce inserite nel mixer, inviandole al computer e poi rispedendole sul main out del Mixer, invece le invia ad una delle tracce dello stesso, facendomi perdere due canali stereo ausiliari e non potendo controllare da Mixer i send e return sul computer. Per me quindi inutile.

... und als Anfänger im Bereich des Homerecordings muss ich sagen, ist das Zoom L-12 für mich schon echt ein Knaller. Allein die 5 regelbaren Kopfhörer- Ausgänge sind sowas von praktisch. Die gesamte Beschreibung und Funktionalität brauche ich ja nicht nochmal runterbeten, das kann man alles auf unzähligen Webseiten lesen (hier bei Amazon, beim Hersteller oder in Testberichten). Das Handbuch gibt es beim Hersteller auch schon in deutsch als Download. Die Einarbeitung geht recht flott und es macht total spaß mit dem L-12 nur zu üben oder aufzunehmen. Der ein oder andere wird vielleicht die Effektkette als zu gering einstufen, da z.B. ein Chorus oder Flanger etc. fehlt. Aber ehrlich, das kann man auch anders einspeisen. Für mich ist das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis super und ich gebe gerne 5 Sterne, weil zudem auch die Verarbeitungsqualität stimmt.

I was looking for something to mic and record my drums. This has all of the main features I need, is easy to use with plenty of "how to" vids on youtube! Definitely worth buying (for that small home studio\practice room)!

Dieses Mischpult hat ein sehr sehr gutes Preis-Leistungsverhäktnis und man kann es nur jeder Band empfehlen, die ihre einzelnen Instrumente eizeln aufnehmen wollen. Später kann die Musik leistungsstark nachbearbeitet werden

Was soll ich sagen, es tut das was es soll. Das Livetrak hat einen fantastischen Klang. Die Preamps und Kompressor arbeiten wirklich klasse und die eingebauten Effekte sind gut nutzbar wenn man ein wenig rum probiert.Die intuitive Bedienung ist leicht durchschaubar und wirklich sehr schnell zu verstehen.Die einzelnen LED Anzeigen neben den Lautstärkereglern pro Kanal ist wunderbar.Das eingebaute Aufnahmegerät mit Overdubbing funktioniert gut und simpel.Das Mehrspur aufnehmen mit Software wie Cubase oder Reaper funktioniert einwandfrei. Jeder Kanal lässt sich einzeln abgreifen (1-12) + die Summenfunktion (13+14) und nachträglich bearbeitenNun kommt leider der Stern Abzug(Aber auch nur weil es mich persönlich trifft)===============================Nach vier Stunden volle Begeisterung und eine riesen Freude über dieses Mischpult musste ich leider feststellen dass man in der Windows Aufnahme Einstellung nicht wie bei meinem alten Mischpult die einzelnen Kanäle bzw, was mir persönlich wichtig ist, die Summenfunktion Master L/R, Kanal (13+14) auswählen kann.Hier gibt es lediglich nur ein Line In des Mischpults, was in diesem Fall der erste Kanal ist.Alle Versuche mit ASIO for all etc sind gescheitert. Das bedeutet dass ich in meinem Stream Programm gar nicht erst den Master auswählen und direkt streamen kann.Eine Anfrage an den Support hat ergeben dass dies auch so ist... und man hat mir vorgeschlagen ich könnte doch ein Kabel aus einem der 5 Kopfhörerausgänge wieder zurück in den Kanal 1 stecken um somit die Summenfunktion aus dem Kopfhörer in das Stream-Programm über den ersten Kanal einschleusen könnte.Liebe leute wenn ihr ein Mischpult baut und mit 14 Spuren USB-Interface wovon 12 Spuren einzelnd und Spur 13 und 14 der Master Mix sind dann lasst mich doch auch bitte den Master Mix direkt anwählen. Bei meinem HelixBoard ging das doch auch.Schweren Herzens geht der Mixer zurück, weil er für mich persönlich so nicht brauchbar ist.Ansonsten ist es ein sehr gelungenes und tolles Produkt.+++ Sound+++ Bedienung ++ Recording SD+++ Recording DAW Mehrspur+++ Haptik ++ EQ & EFX+++ die endlos Regler der Effekte sind toll, machen spass mit den LEDs :)+++ 5 Kopfhörer einzeln einstellbar (ohne EQ& EFX)- Mehrspur nur über DAW Programme / USB Interface nicht direkt in Windows nutzbar (nur Kanal 1 anwählbar)- EQ nicht auf den individuell einstellbaren Kopfhörern (nur wenn Kopfhörer auf Master steht)DENNOCH 4 Sterne, weil es ein wirklich tolles Gerät ist, wenn man die Minuspunkte nicht benötigt.
