Decent quality, decent price.
Decent quality, decent price. What's not too like. Handy addition to the tool box for starting small screws. If I were being picky I'd have liked a larger end on the handle to be able to push on a little more.

Buy a square awl instead
It's OK but a round awl is not the best for starting holes in wood. Get a square one instead. having said that if your using it to punch a small hole in something it is sharp.

Simple and effective tool
A simple tool that should be in everyone's tool box. This is great for poking holes so screws go into exactly the right place, and for anything else where a sharp point is needed. This is a little smaller than I expected, at about 14cm total length and 2cm width, but that also saves room in the toolbox. For the price of £2 I'm very happy with this.

Spot on the mark!
Its one of those items that I kept meaning to purchase but never got round to it. Well I have now and really wished I had purchased some time ago! It feels good in the hand and is just great at ensuring screws and nails are in exactly the right place. Works particularly well on slippery veneer surfaces. Only downside is the plastic guard for the tip which seems to have been misplaced already.

"WOOD" recommend
As being a carpenter & joiner for 30 years+ i have had brought and lost many many Brads, this is my second one in the past two years (due to being nicked whilst on site) i use this "daily" being a second fix joiner great for starting screw holes on solid oak doors and door furniture etc, very strong shaft to withstand strike from the hammer, dose not bend, keeps sharper longer and the brad shaft dose not sink into the handle when hit by the hammer.

Smaller
Bit smaller than expected. Not for heavy duty jobs but fine for pilot holes.

awl
It was as described, I would have liked it to have a thinner point but I managed to complete the task, the handle is quite small so may be a problem for a larger handed person.
