Great value, great sound, long lasting, they're little gems
First purchased 5 sets in March 2013, when I needed new strings for my electric guitar. Initially bought these having read reviews on Amazon and other websites to give them a try. At the price what was there to lose? The first set went on a complete restring of the guitar. Found them to be easy to fit and quick to tune. Once tuned they seem to hold tuning quite well. Have restrung the guitar a couple of times since, the rest have been replacements of broken strings mainly high E's occasionally B or G.They take a lot of punishment and still sound great after quite a bit of time in place. How longs? Well, when your high E's start to run out you need to get some more. I re-purchased some more of these little gems in March 2014. Yep, I managed to get 5 sets of strings to last a year - and I've still got some of the lower end strings in the packCheapskate, I know, but there you have it. Great value, great sound, long lasting. Don't believe me? Well why not give a set a try, what have you got to lose?

Essential strings for the heavy player looking for the heaviest tones!
Great strings for playing those heavy dropped tunings. Almost unplayable at concert pitch because they're far too tight (if you could tune them that high without breaking them), but they are not MEANT to be played with a tuning that high. Tune a whole step down, though, and they are VERY playable, because that's what they're made for! Be warned though: once you have had these on your guitar for a while, you won't be able to put on a regular set of strings without adjusting your truss rod. However, stick with them and your guitar will sound like a real beast! Used with Active pickups with heavy distortion and they're growling like a bear, but played with a clean tone they're quite mellow and almost soulful. I don't want any other gauge on my Peavey now, these strings give me the tone I want and still remain playable (I tried tuning a regular gauge down a whole step, but they were really loose and rattly). If you're a heavy player and like a deep, deep tone, these are for you!

Love these strings
I really like the quality of these strings and found them to feel better than the Ernie Ball string that I previously had on the guitar. Time will tell if these will be my go to strings.

good for the money
Apart from a round wound jazz set, I think this set of strings is the only 7 set on Amazon that offers the low B on a 60 gauge. The rest on sale tend to be lighter and depending on your opinion and how you have your 7 set up, a heavier guage is what you may require. The strings sound excellent fresh on my two 7's, I have a SC607b modded with a blackout in the bridge and a Blackjack C7 ATX, They take to drop tunning down to about G on the SC607b, any lower n the fact that that guitar is not set up for mega low tunnings i.e. E means I can't comment on what they would sound like and feel on such low tunings. My grape with these is that after about 7 to 10 days I feel I need to change them, now this is down to my personal preference of course but I really don't play on them 24/7. However for a price of £5.99 delivered, there is really little to complain about here.

Very hight tension strings... for dropped tuning.
Bought this to play some D/C# stuff on a 25.5" scale length guitar with a Floyd. Sort of expected the unwound string to her a little lighter than 9s tuned to E and the wound strings a little tighter but over all tension similar to 9s or 10s...Put these on tuned to D and had to crank the 3 springs on the tree all the way in and still get I had to tune down to C# to get the tree level.Sound really good really tight. Be careful if you install on a floating tremolo as total tension may be a lot higher than you'd expect. As far as playing, I'm loving the light G B e strings for bends.I'd be interested to try these on a fixed bridge 24.75" guitar tuned to D....

Perfect for C standard
Nothing to say except they play really well. I'd have a 15 gauge B (G) string but that's just personal preference

Good buy
Have been using d'Addario strings for last year and decided to try something new. It was time to change the strings and I decided to try out Dunlop strings just to compare them with d'Addario.I have been playing them for a bit over month now and don't feel the need to change them. The brightness of fresh strings fades and that's the same with d'Addario but what I have noticed is thatDunlop seems to hold up against sweat from my hands much better and will last longer. In any case string are very good and I personally will try this brand again.
