Door Strip
They are fine. Perhaps a little stiffer than I would have liked.

Cheap but effective
I chose these door protectors after looking at lots and was not disappointed. They are easy to fit on my Saab 9-3 and look good. They were also very good value.

Not clear
The product comes as 2x 30cm strips of plastic. They are very similar to the sort of plastic binds used to hold paper together in a booklet. It is sold as "clear" but I would describe it a white / clear plastic, as the plastic isn't that transparent, certainly not anywhere near enough to let the colour of the paintwork come through, effectively meaning it looks mostly white when on, not very attractive even on my silver car.It says it "fits most car doors", not sure how accurate this is. The plastic is inflexible (I had wondered if it would be flexible to go round curves but no), however I suspect it could be cut to the correct length to fit part of your door.Even though I have only rated 2 star (perhaps a little harsh), I am giving thought to trying the silver version of the same product.UPDATE: Increased rating to 3 star. On reflection 2 star a little harsh. Eventually did go for the silver version ( Silver Door Edge Guard Protector Universal Snap On PAIR ) whic seem to do the job well enough. My main problem with this product is the it isn't clear as described.UPDATE 2: Be very careful. I never had any issues with this product on my silver VW Bora (Golf with a boot). However I bought a similar product Universal GD42/2M Snap on Door Guard 2 M - Black for my black Honda CR-V, the review is below. The products looked the same, I would never risk putting anything like this near my car again, you've had fair warning!Had these on the car for about 8 months and can confirm they are absolutely terrible. Whilst cleaning the car I noticed an area of the door where the paint had totally worn away. This is because the plastic (which is on the drivers door) is rubbing against the back passenger door as it is opening. Went round the car and saw that the front passenger door had exactly the same problem. The rear doors also had the same problem (not as bad) rubbing against the back panel of the car. I removed guard immediately to find the area it had covered was all scratched underneath. This is likely as the guard moves up and down whilst on the car. This is supposed to protect the car not damage it. I read plenty of reviews before buying this product, some thought it would cause the moisture to trap underneath, none mentioned anything as bad as this. Hopeless.

Does the job though doesn't last forever
Slides on and protects the edges of the car doors - use it only on the front ones which get most use. There's two in a packet so only need to buy one. They do eventually crack and bits fall off but that's after a number of years and they are cheap so it's fine.

Ok but a bit stiff
The previous ones I bought never needed to be adjusted while I have found that these ones are stiffer and they adapt less well to the door frame so any now and then I need to adjust the position to make them adhere to the frame. They do the job, they have fallen off so far.

A simple, cost-effective door protector
These are very simple and effective protectors for car doors. I use them on my Land Rovers and my Mercedes, and they fit all the doors, even when the more expensive door guards will not. They rely on "clipping" on over the edge of the door and so can cope with different shape doors or can be easily cut to size. They do not need gluing.I have used them on my cars for over 16 years. They last a long time but eventually the weather will get the better of them and they become brittle and break. However, that takes a long time - in my case, over 8 years on a car that permanently lives out in the open. You do need to remember to take them off from time to time and clean under them to remove road dust and dirt but, for the money, they are the most cost-effective door guards that I have come across.

They do the job and cost very little
I've had a few of these and, for the price, they're ok. The only thing to watch for is adhesion if you wax the car - in that instance they can slip off.but, for a couple of quid, you can't really go wrong. They arrive sellotaped to a backing card which can be a bit fiddly to pick the tape off the plastic but that's about the only hassle.
