I lost one of my keys while walking around downtown; it must have slipped out of my pocket. This incident emphasized the importance of having a spare key, and luckily, I had an extra one at home, allowing me to retrieve my car without needing a locksmith's assistance.Subsequently, I ordered a keyblank and fob. Surprisingly, it arrived within two days, even though I hadn't chosen expedited shipping. My local auto key cutter had no issues cutting the blank after I provided both this new one and the original key.Afterward, I easily programmed the key fob to unlock/lock/open the trunk by following the instructions, which can be found through a web search for "How to duplicate key and program key fob for 2001 Audi TT."As evident in the photos, the new key fob closely resembles the original one, with the only exception being the absence of the Audi four-ring logo on the back. The key fob's range is about five car lengths, surpassing the performance of my original.

Do not purchase this key fob for an Audi TT MK1. The smart board inside is different from the OEM MK1 key and this product will NOT sync with your car’s door and trunk locks. Might work for an A6 (I have no idea) but it will not work with a TT MK1.

Like other users, it took a few attempts based on web searches to correctly program the fob. I was able to swap out the cut key half from the old fob to the replacement, which saved the cost of cutting a new key.

Great new key reason I’m not giving 5 is because the internals on the oem B5 key does not work in this without modification because they changed the battery layout and size on this key fob but if you use the battery back plate from your oem key it will fit just doesn’t have the same texture and you’ll have to shave down one of the button pin for the unlock button and I wish it came with an Audi logo but I understand why lol but all around great price great quality I’d buy again

The FOB arrived quickly. I was able to remove the roll pin holding the key blank in the flip part of the FOB and swap my existing key into the FOB. A quick search on YouTube brought up several videos on the programming on how to pair the FOB with the car. I was able to get the two key method to work on my 2001 Audi A4 Avant Quattro. The programming did render my old FOB inactive, which was already broken. I will need to research the steps to program two FOB's to the car when I order the second FOB.

Worthless! Didn't even fit in my ignition! I took it to my mechanic who also couldn't fit or program the key and I'd have to take it to the dealership and pay btwn $200 - $300 for a new, programmed fob.

i'm fortunate enough to not have an immobilizer on my mk1 roadster, so it wasn't a complete waste of money, but the FOB will not pair with my car. I also tried doing it using VCDS and it was not even recogonized.

Use as a spare to get me in- electronics does not work- 2005 A4 QuattroUpdate: key programmed ok go immobilizer but will not program like factory keys- a code is requested the the hardware tech didn’t know or figure out! Quality robust key fob- I’ll see is I can us the vcds system to program them- will update again
