Auto Tools Direct Wheel Bearing Removal and Installation Kit

Good strong box, wide range of fitment sizes, pulled new bearing on to a Transit Van hub with relative ease with a three quarter drive set,(don't even try a half inch drive set, not man enough for the job) main threaded bolt could do with being a bit more hardened, but a generous dollop of grease on the thread will ensure the thread will not strip.Overall Not a bad price for the product.

When the kit arrived it was missing the large bolt but after contacting the seller they sent a replacement out promptly. There customer service was excellent. The only thing that would make the kit better would be two 22mm washers to stop the bolt gauling up on the plates. That in mind I just added my own, for anyone buying this kit use plenty of grease on the threads of the bolt or it will destroy the threads.I used it with added washers and grease to remove to very stubborn rear wheel bearings on a 4x4 and it worked fantastic. Even with a large Dewalt impact wrench applied there was no hassle removing or refitting the wheel bearings. All in 5 stars as for my personal experience it worked extremely well.

Purchased this to replace my MG TF wheel bearings.I would never have gotten them out and back in without this kit. I would say you do need to grease the bolt thread well before using it.

The smallest dish is useless and has no hole to mount on the device

Easy to use, used to remove and replace suspension bushes, will be used for wheel bearings at some point, did just what it said, remove stuff from ‘oles when it didn’t want to come out, solid well made and did the job…

Very good tool. Takes all the violence out of bearing removal and pressing!!!Had to do a curbside repair, so no vice, but easy to use and smooth out and press new bearing in.(Bit of sweat, as holding and screwing it in, but all good).Rear wheel bearing on a Peugeot 207 drum.

Good sturdy piece off kit .Came in a good case

Seemed like a bargain kit and worked fine on first use, but on second use as other reviewers have seen the thread on the bolt failed and I had saw off the bolt to get it undone. Granted was just over a year later than purchase for second use, but no replacement bolts can be got from supplier or replacement kit, only purchase new kit at higher price. Very unhappy as bolt is non-standard size M19, and so far all hardware specialists don’t have them only M18 or M20. Poor quality product which is only suitable for easy to remove bearings.
