Kilner Jar, Round, 1.5 Liters

Brought these to make my sloe winter gin in, they are sturdy and the lids are tight and secure with a good seal, just what you expect from Kilner.

This was exactly what I wanted. I'm using it to make sloe gin.

These jars have well fitting lids and gaskets. The gaskets are very sturdy and hold a seal well, yet are easy to remove to clean. The lids may be removed for easier washing. The size is perfect for most cabinets. All in all, these jars are well worth the price.

We have been using Kilner jars for many years. We like how well made they are and have been for such a long time. Thank goodness this company is still making the excellent jars. We use them for storing grains, beans, herbs, nuts, seeds and all sorts of things. My husband also uses the larger ones for making keifer.

They are thick glass and quite heavy, not easy to break even when I knocked one onto the floor The seal is really tight so everything stays fresh. They look lovely on my shelf, I bought 2 sets and I'm so pleased with them.

This classic container is related to the jars that grandma used nearly 100 years ago, and it is still ideal for a huge range of purposes. We make and keep our liqueurs in them: Recipe: A big bottle of inexpensive vodka or gin, some sugar, and (eg) damsons (or blackberries) from the hedgerows . This turns into a really smooth and tasty drink of character in one year, and becomes something special in another year. The jars work well, and we plan to buy more to bottle this year's crop! Recommended.

Sturdy jars of excellent quality. I bought these to make sourdough bread and they work a treat. Packaged well and delivered quickly.
