Good
Not bad product. Just struggle to fit to bike frame. Larger frame.

So far so good
After a few to many close shaves with passing cars while cycling,I saw these online and decided to give it a go after reading the reviews.Very quick and easy to assemble.I've only been out five times but what a massive difference it's made.Vehicles are definitely giving me a much wider berth and even staying behind me longer until they feel it safe to pass.

Useful and effective
I always use these things - one mounted on the offside (ie outside) on the rear of the bike dissuades drivers from coming even closer than they do, and being orange and reflective they help attract attention. They can easily be mounted so as to leave room for panniers. I notice the diffewrence when I do not have one - it is not that ALL cars come closer, just that the closest they come is a few inches further away when I have one of these things.

Simple yet very effective
I bought this as a Christmas stocking filler for my father who rides an electric bike regularly and is convinced since using the reflector that vehicles do pass him at a greater distance. He is really impressed with how neatly it folds away when not in use and how easily it is extended for use. He’s so impressed he’s recommended it to cycling friends of his!

Fitting useless with wrong screw type!
The screw supplied is wrong and near impossible to screw firm. It should have a plain shank on the top half so it can pull the fitting together and fit it tight to the frame OR:A simple bolt would be better. Remember to damage the thread when fitted so the bolt is not lost if working loose

Too flimsy and fittings not good
Had to use my own nut and bolt and still moves when riding my bike, keeps dropping down frighten to tighten anymore as only a plastic fitting disappointing

Super !
l have had these (or similar) on my bikes now for 40 years. I have no idea if they do help in being safer. but alongside good lights and reflective jacket etc, these are also part of my best attempts at visibaility! It does feel that vehicles give a bit more space also. Yes, always the odd lunatic and aggresive driver will be cutting in close no matter what you do, but these seem to actually help create a bit of space. The quality seems to be as good as ever also. They need to be a bit bendy and thats good for the times that you catch things with them!Great range of fittting options and angles, in fact I have these on three bikes - all with different racks and posts and they work a treat. Even fit them to a rack that has panniers. They are designed to fold away when not on the bike. For a few pounds, I fully recommend these to any cyclist - day or night use.Simple but effective....the best things often are!

In praise of red plastic!
I bought this safety reflector to replace the one lost on the bike I had stolen. I had originally seen them in use in Holland.Works better than described, in that if I do not unfold it, the traffic passes by me much closer.Cyclists who have been following me have commented that they have noticed the traffic edge over further: after all, if the traffic touches it, it is proof that they were driving too close. By the same token, I don't cycle too close to other traffic, to avoid scratching them.I gives me a true sense of security (rather than a false sense of security, as I don't take unnecessary risks just because it is fitted).Clearly, it won't protect me from dangerous drivers, but it means that I can more calmly go on my way with less hassle.
