This is my favorite energy shot drink that I have tried so far. It is also the most expensive. The flavor is the best so far of all tried (grape). Packaging sucks. After you open the lid, there is foil at the top sealing it. Once you remove the foil, there is a clear plastic membrane that has to be removed. It is nearly impossible to get it all removed as some plastic will stick to the sides and its all wet underneath, meaning I have to wash my hands after getting the bottle open. Other than that, the energy is good. The bottle is a little larger (2.5 oz instead of the standard 2 oz). I wonder, if I drink 2.5 oz of a 5 hour energy drink, would that make it a 7 hour energy drink? Is that all they did here? Regardless, it does taste the best and it does work. I guess you get what you pay for.

Neither my husband or I drink coffee. Additionally, I don’t drink soda. But I do need caffeine! I can’t afford a venti matcha green tea, or chai tea latte or refresher at Starbucks every day!!These VPX Redline GRAPE flavored shots are doable. Each shot has 2 servings. So we share, each of us drinks half a bottle and in 5 minutes we can conquer the world. I just cannot fathom the taste of any of the 5-hour energy shots. They make me want to vomit 🤮. But the Redline GRAPE flavor, it still tastes like an energy shot, but tastes good. Just like you might have your coffee every morning, I have my Redline every morning. We’ve been using them for years.Note: I’ve only tried the Mango and Berry flavors besides grape, and while still better than 5-hour, they still have that aftertaste where the grape does not.

The good - yes this does last nearly 7 hours. And you can gulp it in one mouthful, not an entire can.The bad - taste. The aftertaste is kind of awful. And most importantly - this does not give you a burst like a red bull or a C4. It comes on gradually and lasts nearly 7 hours as advertised - but you never really feel energized - just better.

Half of a regular size redline gives me more energy. They were sent loose in a padded envelope but none busted thankfully. I would stick with the regular bottles if you’re the kind of person who’s been drinking them since they were in aluminum bottles.
